Chapter 59 - Chapter 59. Regret

"You just agreed like that? Aren't you going to say anything else?" Leticia suddenly felt bored by Melanie's straightforward acceptance.

What she wanted to see was Melanie going through an extremely complex internal struggle, ultimately gritting her teeth and reluctantly agreeing to Leticia's request.

But the current situation was that Melanie didn't struggle much at all and immediately accepted Leticia's request.

This made Leticia feel that it wasn't fun anymore; she didn't genuinely lust after Melanie's body; she just wanted Melanie to lose face a little.

"Why should I say anything else?" Melanie tilted her head, indicating confusion. Wasn't it just sleeping one night while being held by Leticia?

Given Leticia's personality, what else could she possibly do?

"I'm warning you, I can't guarantee what will happen after I fall asleep." Leticia was still trying to scare Melanie.

Unfortunately, Melanie wasn't afraid of this question: "Don't worry, I won't let you move around."

Melanie's sleeping posture was excellent; she could wake up in the exact same position she fell asleep in, virtually without a single deviation.

"You..." Leticia, frustrated by the unyielding Melanie, got angry. She pointed at her covers, "Go warm the bed for me!"

"Are you sure you want me to wear this outfit into your bed?" Melanie asked, pointing at the white dress she was wearing. "I haven't showered yet."

"Then hurry up and go! Do I have to strip your clothes off and wash that brain of yours—which God knows what it's thinking—with cold water?" Leticia froze for a moment, then spoke, somewhat exasperatedly.

This damn Melanie, why is she so infuriating?

"Oh, I'll try to be quick." Melanie felt a wave of inner pleasure from Leticia's frustration; she realized she particularly liked Leticia when she was this agitated.

Truly adorable, just like a kitten.

After speaking, she zipped back upstairs.

Standing in the bedroom, a trace of regret slowly began to sprout in Leticia's heart.

She felt like she had gotten a little too excited just now and made the request for Melanie to be her body pillow without thinking it through.

But thinking about it carefully, Melanie had always been looking for ways to get close to Leticia, and this White Haired One might not mind an intimate encounter with Leticia at all.

"Why do I feel like I dug my own grave?" The more Leticia thought about it, the weirder it got. She was very resistant to developing a further relationship with Melanie, but Melanie hoped their relationship would progress slightly.

In other words, a request she found completely unacceptable was actually a highly desirable good thing for Melanie?

If Melanie had made this request to Leticia, and Leticia happened to need something from Melanie, then Leticia would definitely be super conflicted.

Therefore, Leticia, judging others by herself, subconsciously assumed Melanie would also resist, but now the problem was that Melanie was completely different from Leticia.

It seemed Melanie was absolutely delighted by this matter.

"Why do I feel like I'm tricking myself?" Leticia held her head, falling into a mental storm. The more she thought about it in this way, the more she felt she had lost tremendously.

But the words were already spoken, and Melanie had already accepted her request. Backing out now would be too embarrassing.

Melanie might not say it out loud, but she would definitely mock Leticia in her heart, calling her a Little Coward.

This was unacceptable to Leticia. She could lose face in front of anyone... wait, no, she absolutely could not lose face, no matter who it was!

"It's fine, it's fine. She can't move or talk; just treat her like a warm body pillow." Thus, Leticia, who was supposed to be the one making the demands, began to mentally counsel herself. "Stay calm. Melanie isn't some strange object; she's just a person who happens to be a little pretty."

"Phew, I'm not losing out, I'm not losing out."

When Melanie reappeared in Leticia's room wearing pajamas, this was the scene she witnessed.

The black-haired girl was holding her head and continuously muttering phrases like 'I'm not losing out, I'm not losing out.' Anyone unaware of the situation might think the girl had bought a stock that was recently crashing.

"What's wrong?" Melanie reached out and patted Leticia.

Leticia slowly raised her head and glanced at the beautiful maiden before her, who resembled a lotus emerging from water. "Don't mind me, I need some peace and quiet."

Damn it, Melanie in her pajamas felt even more alluring than when she was dressed. That snow-colored nightgown, thin as a cicada's wing, gave Leticia an urge to reach out and touch her.

Melanie, having just showered, carried a pleasant scent. It seemed the body wash this young lady used was also of a very high quality.

"Oh, then I'll go in first." Melanie didn't try to understand what Leticia was thinking; she knew the difference between her thought process and Leticia's was probably as large as a whole world.

Watching Melanie walk step by step toward her bed, Leticia's heart clenched. She instinctively reached out and shouted, "Wait!"

"Hmm?" Melanie turned her head, looking at Leticia with some confusion. "Do you want me to take off my pajamas?"

She really couldn't imagine why Leticia would call out to her at this moment. It couldn't possibly be that Leticia regretted it and no longer planned to hug her while sleeping, right?

After ruling out that possibility, Melanie could only find this one reasonable explanation: Leticia wanted to embarrass her, which Melanie was aware of.

Therefore, making Melanie take off her pajamas was exactly the kind of thing Leticia would do.

"No, am I that kind of person?" Leticia was indeed thinking about telling Melanie to leave right now, but saying it out loud would be too humiliating.

Later, Melanie might even use this incident to tease her, and Leticia couldn't tolerate that.

"Then why did you call me?"

"...Turn off the light. The switch is by the door, and I'm too lazy to walk over and turn it off." Leticia came up with an extremely clumsy excuse.

"Then what is this switch over here?" Melanie asked, pointing to another switch not far from the bed.

Based on her limited common sense, this switch should also control the light in the bedroom.

"It's the Self-Destruct Switch! Why are you asking so many questions? Hurry up and go over there!" Leticia insisted she hadn't made a mistake. If she said the switch here wasn't for the light, then it wasn't.

"You seem a bit strange." Melanie didn't press the issue. Leticia's mind was simply too hard to figure out. The simple Miss Melanie truly had no idea how to deal with such a winding, tsundere girl.

"Don't worry about it so much. What kind of body pillow talks this much?"
