Chapter 56 - Chapter 56. What You Are Really Like

"These people are looking at me, right? They are definitely looking at me, right?"

Two girls were walking side by side on the bustling street. The more petite one was currently gripping the slightly older girl's clothes tightly, her eyes filled with fear of the crowd.

Behind the two, a beautiful girl wearing a maid outfit followed, holding the hand of another girl. Both of them had expressions on their faces as if they had seen a ghost.

There was no helping it; Leticia in this state completely overturned the impression in their minds. Luna and Yori really had not expected Leticia to be this shy.

She had even abandoned all dignity, basically shrinking behind Melanie's body.

"The more you act like this, the more people will notice you," Melanie said with a frown. "Just keep a calm mind, and they won't pay you any attention."

"I don't believe it," Leticia shook her head repeatedly.

She was currently wearing that very revealing outfit from just a moment ago, which was very suitable for this weather.

She had also tried on the other two sets, and the conclusion was that Melanie's money had not been spent in vain; both in terms of material and style, they were better than the clothes Leticia used to wear.

They were very comfortable to wear, even giving Leticia the urge not to take them off.

And after changing back and forth into several outfits, the sky slowly began to darken.

Melanie had only changed into about half of the clothes by then. She didn't care about the time; the main reason was that she was hungry.

But because Yori and Luna had spent the entire afternoon sitting in the living room watching Leticia and Melanie's fashion show, no one had prepared dinner today at all.

"How about we go out to eat?" Yori suggested, "It's a good chance to wear the new clothes out."

Melanie agreed with this suggestion, and Luna expressed indifference.

Only Leticia showed extremely strong resistance.

By then, Leticia had changed back into the first outfit she had tried on, which was the one she was wearing now, because she felt that this outfit was indeed more comfortable to wear than her previous clothes.

Leticia was just like that; for the sake of comfort, wearing this kind of clothing at home didn't matter much to her.

But to ask her to wear this kind of clothing out?

Good heavens, it would be better to just kill her.

"There's no need to be so shy, trust me, others won't notice you," that was how Melanie had worked on Leticia's mindset at the time. "I should be more eye-catching than you."

Although it felt like Melanie was showing off that she was more charming than her, Leticia had no mood to refute it at that time.

Because at that time, she truly hoped from the bottom of her heart that what Melanie said was true.

"Luna, shall we go home and eat?" Leticia still wanted to make a final effort.

Luna looked away guiltily: "Your Ma... Miss, this habit of yours of being afraid of people really needs to change."

Just like that, Leticia was dragged and pulled out of the room by the three of them.

As soon as she stepped onto the street and saw the people there, Leticia immediately turned into the clingy, submissive appearance she had now.

"Quinn, what do you want to eat? There are still many restaurants near our home," Yori reached out and poked Leticia's fair, tender waist.

This made the already sensitive Leticia let out a small exclamation. She turned her head and gave Yori a look filled with resentment, then said: "The closer, the better."

The corners of Yori's mouth twitched involuntarily. Quinn looking like this really gave people a very strange feeling.

She actually wanted to be looked at a few more times by Quinn with that kind of gaze; it was too strange.

"Leticia, hurry up and lead the way," Melanie also turned back and said to her sister, who was daydreaming. "If we delay any longer, her face will be able to fry an egg."

"Hey, is this my fault!" Leticia was displeased. She reached through Melanie's thin clothing and pinched the soft flesh on the girl's waist.

A flush of red also appeared on Melanie's face. She quickly slapped away Leticia's restless little hand. "Stop it."

In terms of physical sensitivity, this young lady was no less inferior.

"Phew, it feels like even more people are looking at us."

"That is your problem," Melanie indicated that this time it had nothing to do with her.

If Leticia were better behaved, she wouldn't be so eye-catching.

Now, two super beautiful girls were messing around on the street; how could that not be eye-catching?

"Sister, Quinn, let's go eat steak," Yori had chosen a restaurant. "It should take about five minutes to walk there."

She didn't know what Quinn and Luna liked to eat, so choosing this kind of more popular restaurant was more appropriate.

There wouldn't be anyone who didn't like eating steak, right?

Anyway, last time they ate together, Quinn ate quite heartily, so she probably didn't dislike steak.

Sure enough, after hearing Yori's choice, Leticia agreed quite happily.

"Alright, let's go quickly."

Since Leticia had agreed, Melanie and Luna naturally had no objections.

The latter two had no requirements for food; as long as the portion was sufficient for Melanie, it was fine. Luna was even simpler: as long as it was edible, it was fine.

"Alright, let's head this way." Yori walked in front of her sister and Leticia, starting to lead the way for them.

As they walked, Leticia's pounding little heart slowly calmed down. Although the gazes directed at her still made her somewhat afraid, at least she wasn't shrinking behind Melanie like she was just a moment ago.

"How did you become the Demon King if you are so afraid of people?" Melanie asked in a low voice.

After spending these few days together, she truly had developed great doubts about the fact that Leticia was the Demon King.

In daily life, Leticia was an extremely tsundere homebody who would never stand if she could lie down, and would absolutely never go out unless necessary.

Her social skills were basically zero, but online, she was someone with quite good eloquence.

This fit the characteristics of the modern otaku that Melanie had looked up on search engines; one could even say that Leticia perfectly fit the image of a homebody girl.

Such a girl could be any identity, but no matter how one thought about it, it was unlikely that she was the Demon King.

The Demon King—that was the ruler of the Demon Race, a leader similar to the emperors of the human race in ancient times. She shouldn't be like Leticia.

Melanie even felt that the Leticia she had fought against back then and the current Leticia were two different people. They looked exactly the same, but their inner selves were truly worlds apart.

One was a flawless ruler, the other a slovenly girl. Melanie really couldn't connect these two images together.

But Leticia was such a miraculous existence; she could really manage to possess two faces.

Melanie couldn't help but wonder which Leticia was the real Leticia.
