Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: An Awkward Encounter

"Quinn, watch out behind you!"

"Hmph, such a clumsy sneak attack can't hit me."

Leticia's fingers danced rapidly over the game controller, maneuvering her character to take down the enemy that suddenly appeared behind her with a single slash.

This cool maneuver made the cute girl sitting next to her clap her hands: "Quinn is so amazing."

"Of course, I'm the king of this game."

Leticia snorted proudly, acting quite tsundere.

Her alias in the Human World was Quinn Sukina. As for how she met the girl beside her? That was a rather boring story.

One time, this girl came to Leticia's place to borrow some soy sauce, and happened to see Leticia playing games. Coincidentally, this little lass also loved gaming, and the two hit it off immediately, becoming literal partners in crime.

Out of seven days in a week, this girl would have dinner at Leticia's house at least five or six times, spending the rest of the time battling alongside Leticia until dawn.

It was hard to imagine that the Demon Lord standing at the pinnacle of the world could form such a deep friendship with a little girl; it was practically a miracle.

Thump, thump, thump. Accompanied by a light knocking sound, Luna's voice came from outside, "Miss Leticia, your sister is here to see you."

"Sister? How could I have..."

Leticia's words were cut off as her whole body suddenly began to tremble.

Her sister was back?!

She still had the nerve to come back?

"Leticia, you have a sister?"

Leticia pressed the pause button and asked curiously, "I've never heard you mention her before."

"Yes... she actually came back..."

Leticia was a bit dazed, "She really came back..."

"Since she's Leticia's sister, let her come in then."

Leticia stood up and ran to the door, opening it with a clatter.

Leticia's sister must be a great beauty, right? It couldn't be that the little sister was so cute, but the older sister was some kind of shrew, right? No way.

The door opened, and crimson eyes met black eyes. The two girls, one black and one white, stared at each other and fell silent.

The atmosphere gradually became bizarre. Even though it was still dusk, Leticia felt as if she saw the stars in the sky.

"Star River..."

She opened her mouth and uttered those two words in a dry voice.

What kind of sin had she committed? Why did Leticia's sister have to be this bastard!

She could recognize this person even if they turned to ash. This familiar aura—who else could it be but the Stellar Sword Saint who had once pinned her to the ground and ground her down single-handedly?

She just hadn't expected that this Sword Saint would be such a beautiful girl.

When she was pinned to the ground and crushed, the light emanating from this person was too bright. Leticia hadn't clearly seen whether this person was male or female, but she had subconsciously assumed that a Sword Saint had to be male.

Furthermore, the propaganda from the United Government seemed to lean that way too, leading everyone to subconsciously believe the Sword Saint was a man.

Who knew that the real Sword Saint was actually such a beautiful young lady, with long, pure hair like ice and snow, and crimson eyes that even the world's most precious rubies could not compare to? Her figure was just right; a little more or a little less would ruin the perfection.

It was a pity that such a girl was a total blank slate. If she were to smile, it would probably be the most beautiful sight in the Human World?

Compared to Leticia's shock, the young lady seemed much calmer. She sized up Leticia from head to toe, barely managing to reconcile this girl overflowing with shut-in energy with the valiant Demon Lord on the battlefield seven years ago.

Seven years ago on the battlefield, Leticia was wearing a magnificent long dress, whereas today, she was only wearing an oversized top.

The hem of the top barely concealed the girl's private parts, giving off a hazy sense of beauty. A large portion of her delicate collarbone and fair chest skin was exposed to the air, making the young lady's eyes water slightly.

Her figure was as pitiful as it was seven years ago. It seemed this Demon Lord, who had lived for who knows how long, was destined to maintain this physique for a lifetime.

"Hahaha, I didn't expect you to be Leticia's sister."

Leticia said with a dry laugh, her body already tense, ready to bolt at any moment.

Her subtle movements naturally did not escape the girl's eyes. "You are afraid."

Nonsense, who wouldn't be afraid!

Leticia roared in her heart.

She was a transmigrator, a transmigrator! She valued her own life immensely.

More than twenty years ago, she was reincarnated from a world similar to the Human World as the daughter of the previous Demon Lord, and she inherited the position of Demon Lord that way.

When she was ten years old, the previous Demon Lord was assassinated and died. Leticia, still a little girl, took up the Demon Lord's scepter and crown.

To protect herself and her younger sister, she diligently studied all kinds of magic and skills, while precariously maintaining the delicate balance between the various factions in the Demon Race like walking a tightrope, all while searching for the murderer who assassinated her mother.

As a transmigrator, her talent was indeed extraordinary. In less than ten years, she became the number one expert in the Demon Race, even surpassing her mother.

The great nobles who originally looked down on her all lowered their proud heads. And she successfully found the mastermind behind the assassin.

She ordered without hesitation that everyone in that family be hanged. At that moment, the Demon Race officially entered Leticia's era.

And this era came to an abrupt end after Leticia was defeated by the girl before her.

"You weren't..."

"Leticia doesn't know."

The young lady interrupted Leticia, her meaning very clear: Leticia was unaware of her true identity. "She didn't know before, and she won't know in the future."

"Okay, okay, I understand."

Leticia quickly nodded.

This Sword Saint today didn't seem to have any intention of chopping her down?

"I don't want to kill your friend in front of Leticia,"

the young lady said softly.

Did that mean she would make a move immediately after Leticia left?

"That depends on whether you can keep me here,"

Leticia snorted lightly. Seven years ago, she managed to escape when completely unprepared; this time, being prepared, she was certain she could succeed too.

"But before that, won't you invite me in for a seat?"

The young lady temporarily bypassed the topic of killing because she noticed her sister was already walking over shyly.

If she continued arguing with the Demon Lord, Leticia might discover something.

Leticia suppressed the urge to kick this person out, maintaining a cold expression as she spoke to Luna, who hadn't grasped the situation yet: "Luna, go pour this young lady a glass of water."

"Oh, okay."

Luna left as if waking from a dream. She probably had guessed something too.

"Melanie, that's my name,"

After Luna left, the young lady suddenly said to Leticia, who had already turned around.

"I'm not interested in your name..."

Leticia turned back and gave Melanie an eye-roll, "Quinn Sukina, the name I use now."
