Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 A sudden knock at the dining room door interrupted Baro's chanting

It was like a 2D character you had hanging at home suddenly appearing before you—I mean, like a statue of Lord Guan or something.

"Knock, knock, knock—"

A sudden knock at the dining room door interrupted Baro's chanting, making him look toward the door with some irritation.

The butler walked in with his head slightly bowed. He couldn't help but glance at Syl before quickly walking to Baro's side.

"Master Bonsandi," the butler said, leaning down slightly to whisper in Baro's ear, "Her Highness the Princess is here again."

Hearing this, Baro asked:

"Uh... Is Her Highness here to see Per again?"

"Yes, Master."

"That's great then. Bring Her Highness over. I'll introduce Lord Silver Crow to her." Baro said with a smile, "Tell Her Highness that Per will be cured soon, and she'll be able to go out hunting with her again shortly."

After Baro finished, he turned slightly to explain to Syl:

"The Princess and my daughter, Per, have been playmates since childhood. Since Per's accident, the Princess and I have both looked for many ways, but none have been able to restore Per."

Syl nodded.

It seemed Baro Bonsandi's background was far greater than she had imagined. For his daughter to be a childhood playmate of a Princess was not something just anyone could achieve.

"She has gone to see Per, Master..." The butler hesitated for a moment before continuing, "But she brought along a transcendent who claims to be able to cure the Young Lady..."

"Hmm?" Baro stood up abruptly. "There's such a thing?"

"Yes... They have already headed upstairs."

"This..." Baro was momentarily dumbfounded. He hadn't expected this development. He turned his head blankly toward Syl. "Lord Silver Crow..."

"I'm finished eating. Let's go up and see the patient first." Syl had wanted to leave the dining room for a while now. Using this excuse, she directly proposed going to see Baro's daughter.

Solve it quickly, get the money quickly, and slip away quickly. Syl felt that if she stayed any longer, she would definitely blow her cover. Once Baro Bonsandi discovered she wasn't the original Physician, things would definitely go wrong.

Baro led the way personally, Syl followed slightly behind, and the butler followed at the rear, carrying Syl's mask on a clean cloth.

After reaching the third floor and walking down the long corridor to the room at the very end, they could see from a distance that the door was wide open. It seemed someone had already entered.

"Lord Silver Crow, it's just ahead." Seeing that people had already gone in, Baro quickened his pace.

When Syl and Baro walked in, Syl saw Baro freeze on the spot.

"Per... Per?" Baro murmured a call.

At this moment, the person he called was sitting on the bed, looking up at Baro. With long black hair and delicate features, aside from her expression being slightly stiff, there seemed to be nothing wrong. She softly called out "Papa," but her mouth didn't move at all.

Beside the bed stood a blonde, blue-eyed man. He held a paintbrush in his hand, but there was no paint present.

On the other side was a woman in a pure white gauze dress, wearing a large white dress hat. The light gauze from the brim hung down, obscuring her face. This was likely the Princess.

There didn't seem to be anyone who looked like a patient in the room.

"It is an honor to meet you, Grand Baron Bonsandi." The man bowed to Baro, his tone carrying a hint of self-satisfaction. "Allow me to introduce myself. A Second Rank of the Devourer Pathway, [Faker]. I have completely cured your daughter."

"Heh... Faker." Bonsandi smiled contemptuously. He just raised his hand and gave a light wave. The face of Per, who was sitting on the bed, immediately began to distort. "Your forgery seems only good for self-gratification."

This sudden change caused the corner of the self-proclaimed Faker's mouth to twitch. He said with feigned composure:

"Grand Baron Bonsandi, as long as you don't use secret techniques to interfere, your daughter can already be considered back to normal."

"Buddy," Bonsandi's pupils began to transform into pale purple crystals, "your disguise can't fool the eyes of a Bonsandi. How is this considered cured?"

"Uncle Bonsandi," the Princess spoke calmly, "this is the best way for Per... at least she won't be treated like a monster by others... And this is?"

"Let me give a grand introduction," Bonsandi's hand slowly swept toward his side, "standing before you is... eh? Lord Silver Crow?"

By this time, Syl had already walked to the bedside, clutching her scalpel.

She could no longer suppress the impulse in her heart.

Syl had long since seen through the mist of forgery to the true face within.

Terrifying... distorted... the face hidden under the false illusion was already wearing a mask of pain. Tears flowed from the ears on her forehead.

"Woman! What are you doing!?"

"Lord Silver Crow!?"

"Per!!!"

Amidst everyone's panicked shouts, Syl smiled with pleasure and used the scalpel to slice precisely down toward Per's face.

"Don't cry, Physician Sister is here."
