Chapter 1 - 1_The shadow of a mysterious woman

It was late at night. Ritik was sleeping in a room of the Raheja family's huge old haveli on the outskirts of Delhi. Suddenly, a sweet, mysterious voice came into his dream - "Ritik... Ritik... Come to me..."

Ritik closed his eyes and started following the call. In the dream world, he was standing in front of an old, dark temple. There was a forest all around, a beautiful woman standing in the moonlight. Her eyes were burning like fire, a gentle smile on her lips. Long hair was flying in the wind. Ritik was fascinated and went forward, "Who are you? Why are you calling me?"

The woman stretched out her hand and said, "I am a part of your destiny... But be careful, my touch is like death..."

Suddenly, the woman's body changed! Her arms and legs became long, her skin was covered in green-black scales. Her eyes turned red. She transformed into a huge serpent! She raised her hood and rushed towards Ritik. "No-a-a!" Ritik shouted. The serpent bit his shoulder. His whole body was burning with the poison.

Ritik woke up with a thud. His body was drenched in sweat, panting. His girlfriend Tanvi woke up next to him and asked with a worried face, "What happened Ritik? That dream again? What did you see?" Ritik couldn't say anything. He just said, "A girl… turned into a snake… bit me…" Tanvi smiled and patted his forehead, "It's just a dream. Don't be afraid. We have preparations for our engagement tomorrow."

Meanwhile, in another room of the haveli, Ritik's mother Yamini Raheja was telling her husband Ankush, "Take off your black suit. May today be an auspicious day." Ankush took off his suit with a smile. Yamini's niece came and said, "Auntie, everyone is waiting for the puja." Yamini nodded and said, "I'm going."

Just then, a Panditji arrived at the Haveli. Yamini took him to his room. Panditji became serious after seeing Ritik's horoscope. "Jaminiji, there is a terrible curse on your son. He has to get married before the age of 25. Otherwise... his life will be in danger. Some invisible force is chasing him. Only marriage can break this curse."

Yamini said with a worried face, "Then what should I do? The engagement with Tanvi is almost fixed." Panditji said, "Get married as soon as possible. Time is running out."

It was morning. Ritik had left in his car. Suddenly, an old man was crossing the road. Ritik applied the brakes, but the car slightly hit the man. Ritik quickly got out and caught the man. "Sorry uncle, I didn't see him. Let's take him to the hospital." The old man smiled, but there was a strange look in his eyes. Ritik got him admitted to the hospital.

Returning to the haveli, Ritik saw the whole family laughing and joking. One said, "Is there a ghost in this old haveli? Ritik's dreams are saying that!" Another added, "Yes, some people hear strange noises at night." Jamini sternly said, "Shut up everyone! This is nonsense. There are no ghosts. There is no curse on our family. Everything will be fine."

But the image of the woman from that dream kept coming back to Ritik's mind. There was an invisible pull in her eyes. Who was that woman? Why had she become a serpent? And for some reason, her voice still rang in his ears – "Ritik… come to me…"

Outside the haveli, in the distant forest, a shadow moved. A beautiful girl stood there – a fire of revenge in her eyes, a mysterious smile on her lips. She whispered, "It has begun… now it is my turn."
