Kannan peeked outside the window to see where the demon was. The creature had already shifted into a human form and was approaching the house
Naveen asked anxiously, "Grandpa, what do we do now?"
Kannan replied, "Don't both of you worry about it. I am calling my two disciples to come here."
Kannan then sent out a mental call to his disciples. "Wherever you two are right now, come to me quickly! I am trapped by a demon like this."
The disciples heard the call. "Our Guru has so much power... then why is he calling us? It looks like he has some kind of plan," they thought.
The first disciple, Mayan, had received immense power through intense penance toward Lord Shiva. "In that case, I will go and deal with that demon myself," he said.
The second disciple, Kandan, had performed severe penance toward the Sun God and gained divine boons. He told Mayan, "Then go and finish it quickly; he has to go and see a certain Sage."
By then, the demon had reached the house. Kannan, Naveen, and Valli were all trapped there.
The demon sneered, "I am going to eat all three of you! My King has been trying to kill you for many years. Today, I am going to fulfill that. Your story ends today, Kannan!"
The demon lunged toward Kannan. Suddenly, Mayan arrived and froze everything in that place. Even the wind could not move. Unless he blinked his eyes, nothing would move—not even Kannan could stir.
Mayan walked toward the demon. "I heard everything you said. Now, it is you who is going to vanish from here."
As soon as he blinked his eyes, the demon dissolved into thin air and vanished.
Mayan turned to his Guru. "Master, am I too late? Are you all alright?"
Kannan breathed a sigh of relief. "Only after you came did I find my breath again. I was trapped by him to that extent."
Mayan asked suspiciously, "Master, the way you speak makes it sound like you have no power left. Why are you acting like this?"
Kannan whispered, "Look, don't shout; they (Naveen and Valli) might hear you."
"Seeing all this, it definitely looks like you have some kind of plan," Mayan muttered. Then, Mayan and Kandan set off to find the Sage as the Guru had instructed.
Why are they searching for him? Where have they gone?
One Hour Earlier
Mayan and Kandan were walking quickly down the road. Mayan asked, "What exactly are we searching for?"
Kandan replied, "We are searching for a demon right now. It seems that demon has been causing a lot of trouble for the people."
"It has been two days since I saw our Guru. I heard there are two kids with him now," Mayan remarked.
Kandan nodded. "You are right. The Guru is also on his way to catch a demon. Since the Guru's power is so immense, that demon won't even be able to stand against him."
While they were talking, Mayan accidentally bumped into a girl. He immediately apologized to her. Upon seeing Mayan, the girl took a liking to him instantly. Right then and there, the two of them exchanged their contact numbers.
Kandan asked in surprise, "Who was that girl? You gave your number the moment she asked!"
"I don't know, it just felt like I should give it, so I did," Mayan replied evasively.
Kandan then pointed toward a demon in the distance. "There he is! I will handle this one myself. He is extremely arrogant and is causing a lot of trouble for the people."
Mayan asked, "What are you going to do? Are you going to take out your Mystic Sword and end his story?"
"Yes, that is exactly what I am going to do now," Kandan said as he drew his sword.
Kandan swung his sword through the air, and the force of it sliced the demon's body in two. The demon's arrogance was destroyed right there; he had made a grave mistake thinking his own power was superior. Such was the strength of Kandan, who had received his boons from the Sun God.
Mayan said in amazement, "Why did you end his story from where you stood? You could have fought him for at least a little while. The power that came out of your sword was truly incredible."
Kandan looked up and said, "It feels like the Guru is calling us... Let's go!"
