Chapter 97 - Chapter 97 Building a Garage, Entering the Dimensional Prairie

"Mr. Ling, it's getting dark soon. Would you like me to prepare a bedroom for you?" Li Yi asked sincerely.

"No need, I'll just stay in the car." Shen Muyu shook her head, but a question arose in her mind. She had clearly completed the transaction, so why was there no notification of the special mission's success?

"Does this mean I have to take a tour of the entire village?" Shen Muyu wondered to himself.

"Eleven, I have other matters to attend to. You must take good care of the Ling merchant." Seeing that Shen Muyu did not move, Li Yi suddenly said, his tone implying that he was seeing the guest off.

"Understood, Clan Chief. As for Mr. Ling, I'll take you back." Li Shi nodded and then said to Shen Muyu.

"Alright, then I'll take my leave." Shen Muyu nodded slightly to Li Yi and went out first. Li Shiyi followed immediately.

"Mr. Ling, don't go out at night. Sometimes strange things suddenly appear in the village, but if you stay in the car and don't make any noise, you'll probably be fine," Li Shiyi said as they walked.

"I see you've built such a high wall, can't it keep out the eerie things?" Shen Muyu said, looking at the people patrolling the wall next to him.

"This wall isn't meant to keep out the supernatural," Li Shiyi shook his head.

"The eeriness is everywhere; it might even appear directly in your house, and there's no way to defend against it."

"As for this wall, it's meant to keep out those scattered wild beasts. But even though it looks very sturdy, if a huge, curved-horned ox comes up on top of it, it's no different from a piece of paper," Li Shiyi explained with a hint of sarcasm.

"Can those strange creatures and wild beasts be killed?" Shen Muyu asked, seeing how eloquent Li Shiyi was.

"Wild beasts are acceptable, but the bizarre is not." Li Shiyi's expression darkened as he said this.

"However, the blood of wild beasts can ward off the strangeness. After being doused with blood a few times, it will subside on its own. But this thing seems to reset itself. The next day, even the slightest trace of injury will be invisible, just like the grass on the grassland."

"If it weren't for these herbs, we wouldn't need to rely on the magic box to survive. Wouldn't it be better to grow our own food and be self-sufficient? Sigh." Li Shiyi shook his head and sighed unconsciously as he spoke.

"Mr. Ling, are you sure you don't need a room prepared for you? We have plenty of empty rooms here. It's not safe for you to stay in the car." Seeing that they were almost at the car, Li Shiyi advised.

"To me, a car is like my house," Shen Muyu said with a smile, shaking his head in refusal.

"Could you show me around your village? It's my first time here, so I'm a little curious." Shen Muyu wanted to explore the village, since the special mission wasn't finished yet.

"Sure, but it's getting dark, so I can only give you a general tour. If you want to visit other people in the village, you'll probably have to wait until tomorrow," Li Shiyi said after looking up at the sky.

"It's alright, I'll just wander around." Shen Muyu smiled.

The two of them strolled around the village, but to be honest, there wasn't much to see; the layout was frighteningly simple.

Just inside the gate is the main road of the village, with the houses on both sides housing the vast majority of the village's residents, though they are mostly elderly, weak, sick, or disabled with little fighting ability.

Behind the main street is the house of the clan chief we just saw. There is another one exactly the same across the street, which is where young and strong men like Li Shiyi live. The purpose is that if wild beasts attack the area, they can go directly up to the city wall.

However, Li Shiyi was quite an oddball in this village. Everyone else had a bitter and resentful look on their faces, but this guy was always cheerful. Shen Muyu couldn't help but look at him with more respect.

After all, their lives are practically a life of constant danger. If they were to encounter wild beasts while searching for treasure chests, given their equipment, it would be a near-death experience. It's truly remarkable that they can maintain such a mindset in such a life.

"Mr. Ling, you should get some rest. Don't come out tonight if there's any noise. We're here no matter what. Don't take any risks out of curiosity," Li Shiyi said seriously after putting Shen Muyu back in the car.

He discovered along the way that this Ling merchant's curiosity was off the charts. It didn't matter to him, but if someone got curious and approached him out of curiosity, it could be fatal.

"I understand, don't worry, you should go back soon too." Seeing how serious Li Shiyi was, Shen Muyu's tone also became more solemn.

"That's good then, Mr. Ling, sweet dreams." Li Shiyi smiled, waved, and turned to leave.

"Sigh." Shen Muyu sighed as she watched Li Shiyi's departing figure. Her special mission was still not completed; it seemed that something had been overlooked.

After watching him walk away, Shen Muyu didn't rush to get into the car. Instead, she built a garage over the car. She dared not disobey the rules in the card.

There was originally an electric iron gate in front of the garage, but in order to know what was happening outside in time, Shen Muyu did not close it completely, and she also needed to leave a way out for some things to do at night.

After drawing all the curtains in the car, Shen Muyu began to organize her day's haul.

Because they entered Treasure Lake at noon today and followed Li Shiyi to this village, the only resource boxes they collected along the way were a few wood resource boxes, which contained mostly fuel and basic resources. Shen Muyu sorted them and put them away.

Today's main resources all came from Treasure Chest Lake. After rubbing his hands together, Shen Muyu took out everything, sorted out what he had caught today, and put away the less important items.

Then, picking up the bag containing the ten fish and the small silver-white sphere, Shen Muyu went to the workshop.

The fish weren't very big, so Shen Muyu kept five for herself and froze the rest in the refrigerator.

As for the small silver-white ball, it turned into the shape of a door when placed on the car wall. Shen Muyu placed it directly opposite the dimensional bathroom, which looked quite comfortable.

After opening the door, a gentle breeze blew in. It was nighttime here, but a crescent moon hung in the sky, so it wasn't too dark.

Shen Muyu moved the sunflower lampshade over and then began to inspect her small space.

One hectare doesn't sound like a lot, but it's equivalent to 10,000 square meters.

Shen Muyu groped around for a while before he saw the boundary, which was a blurry white mist that he could touch but couldn't pass through. There was an inexplicable pressure pressing down on him, preventing him from going any further.

According to spatial feedback, 50 units of spatial particles can add an extra hectare, but this space is enough for now, and Shen Muyu does not plan to buy any more for the time being.

After gradually adjusting to the light, Shen Muyu finally saw the entire space clearly.

Actually, there's nothing special about it; it's just a grassy area, perfectly squared off by the white mist—a godsend for people with OCD.

Shen Muyu didn't wait any longer and took out the blueprint for building the small wooden house. The basic materials required were huge, but fortunately, the material inventory had already been overflowing due to the sale of toilet paper and other items, so these consumptions were not a big deal.
