Chapter 61 - Chapter 61 Light-absorbing Thin Films

Upon hearing the sound, Da Bai immediately sobered up. Unlike his usual playful self, he barked fiercely at the window a few times.

If Shen Muyu were still awake at this moment, he would see a faint human figure standing on the river surface on the screen.

However, it seemed to have no intention of causing trouble. After hearing Big White's cry, it slowly sank into the water until it disappeared.

The enchanting melody faded away, and the unnatural smile on Shen Muyu's lips vanished.

Perhaps worried that the creature in the water might return, Da Bai stayed up all night, guarding Shen Muyu closely.

At 6:30 the next day, Shen Muyu gradually woke up at Xiao A's call. It was not the time to stay in bed. Almost as soon as she woke up, Shen Muyu sat up.

"Big White, let's go to the gym!" Shen Muyu quickly washed her face and was full of energy, wanting to pull Big White out of the car. Because of the pungent smell in the tunnel, she hadn't exercised properly for several days.

Big White opened its mouth, lowered its head, and shook it violently a few times before consciously following behind Shen Muyu. However, its expression was as listless as could be, as if it had been hollowed out.

"Dabai, what's wrong?" Shen Muyu stopped walking when he saw Dabai looking a little listless. Usually, Dabai would walk him around, but this was the first time he had walked it himself.

Big White shook his head to indicate that he was fine, then stretched and yawned widely.

"Are you still half asleep?" Shen Muyu asked, puzzled, but Da Bai nodded directly.

"Then you should go back and get some sleep. I'll run a little longer and then go up." Shen Muyu urged Da Bai towards the car.

However, Big White ignored her and ran ahead on its own, picking up speed.

Seeing this, Shen Muyu couldn't say anything more and started running around the car with it.

Once back in the car, Big White immediately lay down in its den and wouldn't move. Keeping watch at night is really hard work!

Seeing that Da Bai was asleep, Shen Muyu quietly got out of the car and picked up an axe. Although he now had a gun, he couldn't put down his cold weapons. After all, they were the most reliable.

After exercising, she leaned against the car wall and basked in the sun. The sunlight was just right, and it wasn't too glaring.

"Master, it's eight o'clock." The car door is always open during exercise so that I can get back in immediately if there is any danger.

As the car slowly started moving, Shen Muyu quickly wiped the sweat off her body with a towel and then began making breakfast.

Half of yesterday's rice had been harvested, and Shen Muyu used it to make a fish porridge. Da Bai's portion had no seasoning at all, but hers had some salt and lots of pepper.

Seeing that Da Bai was very sleepy, Shen Muyu didn't wake it. She just kept the porridge warm and waited for it to wake up before drinking it.

After having breakfast for one, Shen Muyu went straight to the workroom. She planned to husk all the rice this morning so that the big thing in front of her could be put back in her backpack sooner.

A buzzing noise started, but Big White just changed its position, put its paws over its head, and fell asleep. It's an old dog now, and staying up late is really not good for it!

More than four hours later, the machine finally stopped running. Shen Muyu rubbed his numb ears and left the noise generator. It was finally over, and he could have some peace and quiet.

Shen Muyu didn't throw away the straw produced during the separation process. Instead, she sent some to Ji Fei, who remembered that it could be used as cattle feed.

As soon as the sound stopped, a few faint squeaking sounds came from over the animal enclosure. Shen Muyu went to add some water to the plate.

The second egg hatched successfully at some point, and the two little guys ate and drank a lot. If Shen Muyu wasn't worried that the water was too deep and would drown the chicks, she would definitely have given them a bigger food bowl.

Seeing the chicks gather around the plate, Shen Muyu quickly picked one up and examined it closely, discovering it was a male. Fortunately, Lady Luck was on her side, as the other one was female.

When they grow up, they can reproduce and have the next generation. Like chickens laying eggs, the eggs will hatch into more chickens, and the descendants will never end!

Another day is coming when I'll finally be able to have fried chicken to my heart's content.

When we came out of the tool shed, Da Bai came over. By then, there was no porridge left in the pot. If Da Bai were to become someone's grandson, his grandparents would definitely love him.

Sitting on the floor, Shen Muyu took out the five resource boxes he had collected that morning. He had heard from Xiao A that two of them were hanging on the cliff face, and if the robotic arm were any shorter, it might not have been able to reach them.

The box still contained a large amount of food and fuel, but only a bag of dry powder and a few cans of food were enough to fill their stomachs; the rest were mostly high-oil and high-salt snacks.

"Is the organizer planning to store up food for us for the winter?" Shen Muyu thought about it more and more and it made more sense. In addition to the raincoat he had before, he figured there was a high chance that it would rain and cool down.

When it's time to eat, I'll have to go to the mall and scour the mall for some good food. Anyway, things are cheap, so even if the temperature doesn't drop and we run out of food, it won't be a loss.

Besides these, there was also an induction cooker, a pressure cooker, and two small rice cookers in those boxes, which looked like they were afraid the girls would starve to death.

Shen Muyu also found a bag of watermelon seeds in the silver box, but the note said that these were seedless watermelons. It seemed he would have to plant them sparingly, since if he couldn't get any more seeds, they would be gone once they were all eaten.

There was something at the bottom of the box that she almost overlooked: a very thin and transparent membrane.

This thing is a vehicle-mounted device that can be directly attached to the glass. It has an interesting property: one side allows all types of light to pass through, but the other side cannot.

So as long as the film is applied correctly inside and out, it can make the light inside the car visible, but the light inside the car cannot be seen from outside, just like a privacy screen protector.

Shen Muyu amplified it, adding 30 extra pieces, which perfectly covered all the windows inside the car.

Having exercised all morning and not eaten much in the morning, Shen Muyu was starving. She simply steamed a few buns, mixed them with sugar-coated tomatoes and spicy cucumber strips, and then ate them.
