Chapter 1 - RACHAKY THE NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL

RACHAKY THE NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL

Rachaky was known as a notorious criminal. At a very young age, he had already begun snatching people's belongings—phones, cash, wallets, and anything he could lay his hands on. As time went on, he became even worse, moving from petty theft to serious crimes.

He was the leader of a group called "Green Land." He started this group while he was still in the university, and it became known for violent and dangerous activities. When the school authorities at Brookstone heard about his actions, they immediately expelled him and his group before they could influence and corrupt other students.

Instead of returning home to his parents, Rachaky chose to continue his life of crime. He moved around with his group, engaging in robbery, kidnapping, rape, and even killing innocent people. However, his past tells a different story. He was born into a careless and unstable family, with five boys and three girls.

As a child, Rachaky was greatly pampered. His parents always defended him, even when he did wrong. Whenever he insulted or disrespected his senior siblings, they tried to discipline him, but his parents would stop them, saying, "He is still a child and does not know what he is doing." Unfortunately, this attitude only encouraged his bad behavior.

The Beginning of Trouble

One morning, while preparing for school, Rachaky was the first to get ready. As he passed through the sitting room, he noticed some money placed on the dining table. He looked around carefully to be sure no one was watching. After confirming that the room was empty, he picked up the money, slipped it into his bag, and quietly left for school.

Not long after, his eldest brother came out to take the money, only to discover that it was missing. He was shocked and immediately became angry. Determined to find out what had happened, he called all his siblings together.

"Who took the money I left on the table?" he shouted.

One by one, they denied taking it. His twin sister, Joy, also denied it, and so did the others. But their brother insisted that someone among them must have taken it.

He warned them seriously, "If I don't see that money, there will be no school for anyone today."

At Brookstone School

Meanwhile, at Brookstone School, Rachaky was already spending the stolen money recklessly. He bought expensive food, soft drinks, and other items, sharing them with his classmates. His friends were surprised because he had never been known to have so much money.

They approached him and asked, "Rachaky, where did you get all this money from?"

Rachaky laughed and replied confidently, "My elder brother just came back from the United States. He gave me ₦50,000 and gave my brothers and sisters ₦20,000 each."

Some of them believed him, but others were not convinced.

The Truth Begins to Unfold

Back at home, suspicion continued to grow. Later that day, some of Rachaky's classmates visited his house, asking for their own share of the money they believed he had received from abroad.

Joy was confused and surprised. She knew nothing about any money from abroad. Realizing something was wrong, she quickly informed their elder brother.

When he heard this, he became furious. He rushed to confront Rachaky as soon as he returned home. Without listening to any explanation, he began to beat him angrily.

Family Conflict

Their parents intervened, trying to stop the fight, but the situation only became worse. Arguments broke out within the family.

Their father blamed Rachaky for his actions, while the elder brother blamed their parents for raising him poorly.

"You and mom are responsible for this," he said angrily. "You spoiled him and allowed him to become like this."

He continued, "If you don't correct him now, he will destroy this family completely."

PART TWO

That evening, their father confronted the elder brother, Destiny.

"Why are you not in school preparing for your final exams?" he asked.

Destiny replied angrily, "Because Rachaky stole the money you left for my school fees this morning."

Their father was shocked but tried to avoid the issue. This angered Destiny even more.

"Dad, you must take responsibility," he said. "Parents are meant to guide their children, not just provide food and shelter."

He added, "If you don't act now, Rachaky will become even more dangerous."

Conclusion

Rachaky's story shows how poor parenting, lack of discipline, and bad influences can destroy a child's future. What started as small acts of stealing grew into a life of crime.

His life became a warning—not only to him but to everyone around him—that actions have consequences, and neglect at home can lead to disaster.

The boy stormed out angrily, shouting,

"I don't ever want to see you again! Or else you'll be arrested and locked up forever. You have never been faithful to me. Instead, you helped that thief!"

He slammed the door and walked away without another word.

PART TWO

One day, Mrs. Uloma was preparing to leave the house to visit a friend. Since she had free time and was alone at home, she decided to go out for a while.

While getting ready, she suddenly heard a loud noise outside. At first, she thought it was just passersby making noise, but then there was a heavy knock on her gate.

Curious and slightly afraid, she rushed outside to see what was happening.

To her greatest shock, it was her son, Uche—bleeding seriously.

She screamed and quickly held him.

"My son! What happened to you?"

Uche, weak and in pain, whispered,

"Mother… please… take me inside. People are trying to kill me…"

She rushed him inside immediately.

Soon, members of the community gathered outside, shouting angrily,

"Thief! Thief!"

Shortly after, some elders and the captain of the local vigilante group arrived. One of the elders spoke harshly:

"Mrs. Uloma, you should be ashamed of yourself. Can you see what your son has become? He is a disgrace to this community and to your family. You don't even know what your son has been doing!"

He continued,

"Your son attacked a man who was carrying money to pay for a house. He struck the man with a stone, stole the money, and tried to hide it. But unfortunately for him, our security team caught him."

Mrs. Uloma was shocked and speechless.

The vigilante commander then spoke to the victim,

"Do you recognize this boy?"

The injured man replied weakly,

"Yes… he is the one who attacked me and took my money."

The commander ordered his men to take the victim to the hospital and warned Uche:

"You are lucky you are still alive. If not for the law, we would have dealt with you here."

PART THREE

Two weeks later, Uche's father returned from work and heard everything that had happened. Instead of correcting his son, he became angry with the villagers for beating him.

Uche, recovering from his injuries, listened carefully. Instead of learning from his mistakes, he became more hardened.

Years passed.

Uche graduated from secondary school and gained admission into the university. But instead of focusing on his studies, he joined bad groups and became involved in criminal activities.

He grew wealthy through illegal means and became feared in the community.

He and his gang robbed people, harassed innocent citizens, and exploited young girls. Many students abandoned their studies and followed his dangerous lifestyle.

The university environment gradually became corrupt.

Even when reports reached his parents, they failed to correct him.

Eventually, Uche was expelled from the university due to his criminal behavior.

Instead of changing, he became worse.

He moved to another area, gathered more followers, and became the leader of a dangerous gang. He carried out night robberies and used violence without fear.

THE DOWNFALL

One night, during a robbery operation, things went wrong.

Security forces arrived unexpectedly.

Gunshots filled the air.

Uche tried to escape, but he was shot.

As he lay on the ground, bleeding heavily, he realized it was the end.

Just then, the police officers took hold of all of them and headed to the station, leaving Mr. John's family in great happiness because their stolen goods had been recovered, including his sister A.J.'s car.

When John's parents heard about all his evil deeds and how he was arrested and would be prosecuted in court, they became restless. His mother could not sleep all night, waiting anxiously for the judgment day.

Finally, the day came. Mr. Nnamdi and his wife quickly rushed to the court. To their greatest surprise, judgment had already been passed — their son, Rachaky, had been sentenced to death.

In desperation, they called Joy, who was married to a lawyer, to see if she could help rescue her brother. However, the police officer in charge explained that Rachaky had been sentenced to death because of what he did to the judge.

Before his last operation, Rachaky and his gang had broken into a house to steal, not knowing it belonged to a judge. During the process, he assaulted the judge and caused the death of his daughter. The judge, overwhelmed with grief, vowed that justice would be served.

On the day of judgment, Rachaky and his men were sentenced to death by firing squad.

⚖️ The Execution Day

The day finally came. Rachaky and his men were brought out from prison and taken to the cemetery where they would be executed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nnamdi and his entire family rushed there to have a final word with their son. When they arrived, Rachaky and his men had already been tied to stakes, waiting for the command.

Mr. Nnamdi and his wife broke down in tears. They knelt before their son, pleading for forgiveness.

"My son," Mr. Nnamdi said, "we were not the best parents. We failed to guide you in the right way. Please forgive us."

His mother added, "Take this Bible. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, and you will find mercy."

At first, Rachaky hesitated, but eventually he repeated the prayer and accepted Christ.

Then he turned to his parents and said,

"I know I deserve this punishment. I have done terrible things. Please forgive me. I don't deserve any good, but I forgive you both. Lead others to the right path."

Joy came forward crying, hugging him tightly. But Rachaky told her she should not die with him, as she was not part of his crimes.

💔 The Final Moment

When the command was given, the soldiers raised their guns.

Shots were fired.

Rachaky was hit. As Joy ran toward him, he cried out:

"Joy… we are not going to the same place."

🕊️ Aftermath (Part Four)

Two months later, Mr. Nnamdi was still mourning the loss of his son and daughter. His wife developed high blood pressure due to grief and later collapsed in the kitchen one morning.

She was rushed to the hospital, but the doctor confirmed she had died.

Mr. Nnamdi was devastated. Within weeks, he also passed away due to the unbearable pain.

🔍 The Truth Revealed

Later, Destiny visited a pastor to understand the mystery behind the family tragedy.

The pastor explained:

Rachaky had committed a terrible crime in university — he assaulted a female coursemate. She became pregnant and later lost the baby. Out of pain and anger, she went to a shrine and placed a curse on his family.

That curse led to the destruction of the entire family.
