Emily was finally alone in the room. The servants left her to rest, after the news she heard. She couldn't sleep, because she was trying to figure out what was going on. She needed to know exactly where she was reborn.
Her mind kept racing thinking about everything that had happened in the last couple of hours. "I died and got reincarnated into another body, in a place totally different from the modern world".
"Now I'm pregnant with the emperor's child, and I'm also his lover. Emily tried to wrap her head around all the information, but her mind just could not accept it.

Emily was feeling so uncomfortable in her head when memories of the body owner came rushing to her. She saw herself, not the original owner in a ballroom full of people. They all wore fancy clothes like aristocrats. Then she saw a servant kneeling on the floor trembling, and she saw another woman crying on the floor.
At the Center of it all was the Original Body owner Lorelei . She looked cold, extremely beautiful and she was smiling. Emily saw another memory, someone called her full name. "Lady Lorelei Valecrest." That name echoes in her head. Then it hit her that the name of the body she occupied was Lorelei Valecrest.
The Lorelei she saw in the memories was cruel and most definitely a villain. In one of the memories she saw a servant accidentally pour tea away, Lorelei calmly ordered "Break her fingers, carelessness must be corrected." That scene horrified Emily.
Another scene was at a noble gathering, where Lorelei humiliated a young noblewoman. The Original owner spread a rumor which ruined the girls reputation. Another memory Emily saw was when another noble requested help and aid from house Valecrest, Lorelei dismissed him.
In her words in the memory, "If your house cannot survive without charity, it deserves to go extinct". The man lost half of his people and family.
The memories stopped and Emily began to Panic, she was reborn in the body of not just a villain. The original owner was terrifying. "I am reborn in the body of a monster, everybody hates her".
"That's why the servants were trembling when they came in, who won't be afraid of a monster." Emily thought as she panicked inside her mind.
Emily tried to calm herself down, she needed to know more about the original owner, then the memories came again, this time it was memories about her family, her house VALECREST.
Her fathers name is Duke Alaric Valecrest, in her memories, he is a cold strategist who can sacrifice anyone, even his own children to achieve his goals. He is politically brilliant, and this has caused a headache for the emperor. Her father is a man who is emotionally distant from everyone, he is a man who commands enormous authority.
In one of her memories, Young Lorelei was kneeling before her father as he lectured her with a cold and distant voice. His words were, "Sentiment is weakness, Our house survives because we are willing to do what others cannot.
Emily saw her brother as her only sibling. Her elder brother, "Cassian Valecreat."
In her memories he has a different personality from the original owner. He is calm and calculating, but he is also ruthless to his enemies. In her memories, he was talking to the original owner, "You're the emperor's favorite for a reason. Use it."
Her family has only used her for their selfish goals. No wonder she turned out to be a villain. Through her memories, Emily saw just how powerful House Valecrest is. They are not just an ordinary noble house. For centuries, they have been commanders of thousands of soldiers for the empire, they dominate the empire's military.
The territories they control are vast and many, and they control the most important territories in the empire. Their wealth can even rival the royal treasury. "The emperor rules the empire, but the Valecrest's shape its future", even the people acknowledge their power.
Emily found something more shocking from her memories, her father wants to use her pregnancy as an advantage to control the empire. The baby she is carrying if it is a boy might shape the balance of power in the empire. The last conversation the original owner had with her father he said to her "The throne may belong to the Emperor, but blood determines dynasties."
The memories stopped coming, Emily felt a deep fear within her, she understands the terrifying truths. "I am now Lorelei Valecrest, and I'm a villainess who is not only feared but hated." "Emily calmed down, she said to herself. "Not only am I feared and hated, I'm also born into the most powerful house in the empire after the royal family."
"The most important thing is that I have to pretend to be Lorelei so as not be exposed"
Just as Emily calmed herself down, another piece of memory came. It was the memory before Lorelei's accident. Emily saw Lorelei standing on a palace balcony, someone was arguing with her. The voice sounded angry, and very dangerous and she saw it.
Lorelei was pushed and she fell. The memory faded away, before she could see the face.
Emily realized, "Someone inside the palace tried to kill Lorelei."
The memory ends before she sees the face.
