Cedric's Point of View
I stormed out of the room with heavy, turbulent strides; the ground felt like it was shaking beneath my feet from the sheer rage boiling in my chest. At the threshold, I found Alex standing there like an immovable dam, watching me with a calm, provocative gaze that only fanned the flames inside me.
I lifted my face toward him with a silent vow of vengeance, the veins in my neck bulging as I fought to restrain my hands hands that were aching to shatter that cold expression on his face. How did he dare? How did he allow himself to lay a hand on what belongs to me?
I brushed past him with a hard shoulder, as if colliding with a stone wall, and continued walking while the beast within me growled, demanding blood. Were it not for my fear of my grandfather's devastating wrath, and were it not for the strict rules governing this house, I would have ended this conflict right here and now.
