Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 – The Endless War

CHAPTER 1 – The Endless War

The battle between the gods and the demons had lasted since the beginning of creation.

Each side wanted only one thing — to crown the next God King or Demon King.

Their families fought beside them: the Seven Deadly Sins on the demon side, and the Angel Children of God on the other.

Across countless planets, the war raged without victory.

Every world they touched ended the same way — destroyed.

Explosions lit up the sky.

Gods clashed with demons, fire and lightning shaking the ground.

Another planet cracked apart under the pressure.

Far away, in a floating palace between realms, a white-haired woman sat on a throne watching the destruction through a magical screen.

Beside her stood a bored-looking man with black hair.

"How long will this war continue?" he asked.

White Hair rested her chin on her hand. "Maybe forever."

Black Hair frowned. "Don't you think you should stop them? At this rate, they'll destroy this world too, and we'll have to move again."

She sighed. "You're right… but I can't. Fighting is the only purpose they know. I can't control what they do."

Black Hair lowered his eyes. "I know… but it's frustrating."

She turned back to the battlefield. Gods and demons tore each other apart under a red moon.

Another explosion. Another world destroyed.

Down below, one of the gods stopped fighting. He belonged to the Seven Deadly Sins — the Sin of Lust.

"Well… another planet gone," he muttered.

The white-haired woman floated down slowly, the black-haired man following her.

"So, you're still not done?" she said. "You destroyed another planet."

On the god's side, the Angel of Hope stepped forward.

"We can simply move to another world."

Lust shrugged. "Yeah."

Black Hair shook his head. "No. This has to end. You can't keep destroying planets."

White Hair raised her hand to silence him and gave a small smile.

"He does make a good point. This war ends now. I'll give you one final chance."

The Sin of Greed smirked. "We won't fail."

"But," White Hair said, "to battle fairly, you need… new vessels."

Everyone froze.

The Angel of Love blinked. "New vessels?"

White Hair nodded. "There is a planet called Earth. Humans live there. Original beings with no powers."

The Sin of Rage folded his arms. "No power? So we just possess them?"

"Correct," White Hair said.

The Sin of Gluttony laughed. "That'll be easy."

White Hair shook her head. "Not exactly. Humans are weak. That means none of you can use your full power."

"What?!" the angels and sins shouted.

"You'll be bound by the body you enter," she explained.

"How you fight at your weakest will decide the winner."

The Sin of Pride smirked. "Interesting… I'll still win. I'll be the strongest, even as a human."

White Hair only smiled and raised her hand.

A glowing white magic circle formed beneath them.

"Figure the rest out yourselves."

In a flash of light, the angels and sins vanished, teleported toward Earth.

Black Hair looked at her suspiciously.

"What is your plan?"

She shrugged. "Plan? I have none."

Her smile widened.

"But this is going to be far more entertaining."

Earth — A Quiet Morning

Cars moved along the road.

People walked, living ordinary lives under the warm sunlight.

Inside a small white house, a boy slept peacefully in his bed.

His room was nearly empty except for a single photograph of a family — a smiling father, a mother holding a baby, and two older siblings beside them.

In his dream, Kairo sat with his family at the dinner table.

Father laughed. "I had a good day at work."

Mother smiled. "Tell us."

Sister giggled. "Yeah, Dad!"

Brother kept eating. Kairo just smiled.

Father cleared his throat. "Alright, alright, I'll tell—"

Suddenly everything went black.

Kairo looked around. "What…? What's going on?"

A figure appeared in the darkness — a man sitting casually on a chair, smirking.

"Oh? Is that your family?" he asked.

Kairo glared. "Why do you keep ruining my dreams?"

The man grinned. "I can't help it. I'm curious. Where are they now?"

Kairo looked down. "That's none of your business."

The man only laughed.

Kairo sighed, opened his eyes, and woke up in his bed.

"Why does he do that every time…"

A voice echoed in his head.

"Because I'm bored."

Kairo groaned.

This again.

"My name is Kairo Akarin," he muttered. "Sixteen years old. And the one talking inside my head is the Sin of Pride — Yamiari Daliken."

Flashback — The Child of Disaster

Kairo was born in a storm of screams and shaking walls.

The moment he came into the world, a black aura burst from his tiny body.

A magic circle glowed beneath him.

A red eye opened on his forehead.

His mother gasped as an invisible force lifted her by the throat.

"W-What's happening!?" his father shouted.

The newborn Kairo stared with inhuman red eyes.

The hand around his mother tightened.

But even choking, she whispered, "He… is still our son…"

His father, panicked, grabbed a knife and charged, but she stepped in front of him, taking the blow.

She fell bleeding, smiling weakly.

"He's a blessing… not a monster…"

Kairo — or rather Yamiari — only laughed.

"My name… is not Kairo.

I am Yamiari Daliken, Sin of Pride.

Future Demon King."

He struck his father with a blow that blasted a hole through him.

The red eye on Kairo's forehead slowly faded.

The crying infant fell unconscious.

The hospital took him. His siblings were sent away and adopted.

Kairo grew up alone.

Back to Present

Kairo stared at the family photo.

Yamiari's voice echoed.

"Do you miss them?"

"No. I never knew them."

Kairo walked into the bathroom, brushed his teeth, and got dressed for school.

"You're not eating?" Yamiari asked.

"I'll eat at school."

"The food there is terrible."

"Not my problem."

Kairo stepped outside and began walking.

A black bird with glowing red eyes soared past him, grabbing a screaming boy — though no one else noticed.

Kairo sighed.

"Another demon…"

"When demons appear," Yamiari said excitedly, "let me out."

Kairo's eyes turned red. His hair rose.

He jumped high, caught the falling boy, and landed softly.

The demon bird screeched.

Yamiari took over.

He grabbed the bird's head, threw it into the air, and smashed it with one punch — the creature exploded into smoke.

The boy's eyes sparkled. "That was amazing!"

Yamiari gave a thumbs-up… then Kairo snapped back.

"Great… now I'm late."

He ran toward school.

School Life (Unfortunately)

Kairo slipped into class.

"Sorry I'm late."

The teacher sighed. "Again?"

Kairo laughed awkwardly.

Misaki, his pink-haired childhood friend, raised an eyebrow.

"I'm curious… Why are you always late?"

Kairo forced a smile. "Just slept late, Misaki."

"If you say so…"

Math class began. Misaki answered every question perfectly while Kairo slept on his desk.

The bell rang. Kairo jerked awake.

Misaki frowned. "You sleep at nine… and you're still tired?"

"That's just how I am."

She folded her arms. "We never hang out anymore. I miss Zane…"

Kairo sighed. "Zane brought all the fun…"

The Cleaning Mission — Updated Scene

Misaki stopped at the door on the second floor, unlocked it, and pushed it open.

Books were scattered everywhere, dust covered the shelves, and the whole room smelled old.

Misaki clapped her hands. "Alright! This is our mission. We have to clean this place."

Kairo stared inside with dead eyes.

"…But why must we clean it?"

Misaki turned to him. "Because nobody else is going to do it."

Kairo groaned. "Yeah, but why must we do it? We're not the ones using this room."

Misaki smiled brightly. "Because we're the Service Club. We help people."

Kairo sighed deeply, dragging out the sound. "What… a drag…"

Misaki cheerfully picked up a broom and started sweeping.

Kairo just stood there, arms crossed, completely uninterested.

Yamiari laughed in his head. I feel sorry for you.

Kairo muttered, "Yeah. Same."

Finally, with minimal effort, he picked up a mop and started moving books… very slowly.

Back to Trouble

The bell rang. Break was over.

Kairo and Misaki stepped outside.

Suddenly, the building shook.

A massive demon appeared.

Misaki froze. "W-What is that!?"

Kairo muttered, "Damn… she can see it."

"Kairo… can you see it!?"

"Yes. We need to run!"

But an invisible barrier trapped them.

"What!?"

"Let me out," Yamiari ordered.

"No."

Misaki panicked. "What do we do!?"

Yamiari shouted in his head.

LET. ME. OUT!

Kairo clutched his head in pain. His heartbeat quickened.

He screamed.

His eyes turned red.

His hair rose.

Misaki gasped. "K-Kairo?"

Yamiari smiled.

"I am not Kairo."

He broke the barrier and launched himself at the titan demon.

The demon struck him back with ease.

Yamiari roared and attacked again — only to be kicked through a building.

Misaki rushed to him. "Kairo!"

Yamiari tried to stand—

—but froze as Kairo forced control back.

"No. I don't need you," Kairo muttered.

The red faded from his eyes.

Misaki stared. "Your voice… is normal now…"

The titan walked toward the school field full of students.

"We have to stop it!" Misaki cried.

"No. The best move is to run."

A familiar voice answered:

"You think the police can stop that?"

Kairo spun around.

"Zane?!"

Misaki's eyes sparkled. "It is you!"

Zane grinned. "Of course I can see it. And I see you have the Sin of Pride inside you."

Kairo narrowed his eyes. "How do you know?"

"Easy. I can see the aura. So why aren't you using his power? Don't tell me… you're scared."

Kairo glared. "Why should I save people I don't know?"

Zane sighed. "You haven't changed… still cold-hearted."

He punched Kairo in the stomach, knocking him unconscious.

Yamiari laughed and took over.

"Thanks. He's too stubborn."

Zane cracked his knuckles. "Don't think you'll fight alone."

Yamiari blinked. "You're just human."

Zane smirked. "Trained human. And I gained the power of a dragon. I'm a Dragon Slayer now."

Yamiari whistled. "Not bad."

Together, they charged.

Zane launched a fireball.

Yamiari punched the titan's head.

Zane kicked its eye with fire-enhanced strength.

The demon fell.

Yamiari slammed his fist into its stomach.

BOOM—!

The titan exploded.

Yamiari stood proudly, I am the strongest!!!!!
