Chapter 81 - the flag and the banner

You decided to make the naming of the city official and memorable.

You snapped your fingers once in the central square. A tall flagpole rose smoothly from the ground in the middle of the plaza, and a grand banner unfurled at the top. The flag bore a beautiful design: a shining rainbow arching over a glowing shield, with the words Rainbow Guardian City written in elegant golden runes beneath it. The banner shimmered with soft light, visible from every corner of the city.

The entire population gathered quickly. Cheers erupted as the flag caught the breeze and waved proudly. Children pointed in wonder. Elders wiped happy tears. The four heroes stood at attention and saluted. Miya smiled brightly beside you, tail swishing with pride.

You raised your hand and declared:

"From this day forward, this is Rainbow Guardian City! May it always shine with hope and protect those in need!"

The crowd roared in celebration. People began singing and dancing right there in the square. The name spread instantly through every street and home.

While the celebration continued, you snapped your fingers again — this time subtly and silently.

A faint, beautiful rainbow-colored aura settled over the entire city like a gentle veil. It was invisible during the day, but at night it would glow softly, bathing the streets, walls, and buildings in warm rainbow light. The aura carried your protective power — strengthening the barriers, helping crops grow faster, and giving every citizen a small boost of courage and hope. It perfectly symbolized the new name without being flashy or overwhelming.

Miya noticed the subtle shift in the air and leaned closer to you. "Beautiful, my lord… it feels like the city itself is smiling now."

Lukas and Liora both sensed it too and nodded in approval.

Later that afternoon, once the initial excitement had settled, you gathered your core group — Miya, Lukas, and Liora — in the private garden behind the longhouse for a quiet meeting.

The four of you sat around the small crystal table. The city hummed peacefully in the background.

You spoke first:

"The city is named and growing. The people are building their own future. Now we must talk about the real threat. The Goddess has already broken two seals on the First Djinn. Only one remains. She plans to unleash that ancient evil against us. We need to decide how we will handle it."

Miya's ears flattened slightly, her expression serious. "She's desperate. After everything she's done, she's willing to risk the whole world to get revenge. I say we strike before the last seal breaks."

Lukas's shadows coiled restlessly. "I agree. We're completely free now — no rules, no limits. We could end this before she even realizes we're coming."

Liora stayed close to Lukas, her voice soft but resolute. "Whatever you decide, I will support you all."

The garden was quiet except for the distant sounds of the city. The final seal on the First Djinn was the only thing left standing between the Goddess and her weapon.
