Chapter 72 - The newlyweds

You decided to give the newlyweds a gentle start to their first morning as husband and wife.

After sharing a quiet, affectionate moment with Miya (who was still glowing from last night and curled happily against you), you snapped your fingers once. A large, beautifully arranged breakfast tray appeared — fresh bread, honey-glazed fruits, roasted meats, warm herbal tea, and a small bottle of celebratory sparkling wine you had created specially for them.

You carried the tray yourself and walked over to the cozy honeymoon cottage at the edge of the village. Miya followed a few steps behind, tail swishing with quiet amusement.

You knocked softly on the door.

A moment later, Lukas opened it, looking tired but incredibly happy. His hair was messy, shadows lazily curling around his shoulders, and he wore only loose pants. Liora peeked out from behind him, cheeks flushed pink, silver hair tousled, wearing one of Lukas's shirts that was far too big for her. Both of them had that unmistakable "we barely slept" glow.

Lukas grinned the moment he saw you and the tray.

"Big brother… you didn't have to."

Liora bowed her head shyly, but her eyes sparkled with joy. "Lord Grim… thank you. Last night was… wonderful."

You smiled and handed them the tray.

"Congratulations again. Eat. Rest. You both earned it after that long night."

Miya stepped forward with a playful wink. "From the sounds we heard across the village… it seems you two had quite the celebration."

Liora turned bright red and hid her face against Lukas's chest, while Lukas just laughed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Yeah… we might have gotten a little carried away. But it was perfect. Thank you for everything, big brother. For the freedom, for the wedding, for… all of it."

You gave Lukas's shoulder a warm squeeze and Miya's hand a gentle tug.

"Take your time today. The village is safe. Valir and Alucard are watching the gate. We'll handle anything that comes up."

The two of them thanked you again, eyes full of genuine love and gratitude, before closing the door to enjoy their breakfast in private.

As you and Miya walked back toward the main square, the village was slowly waking up. Children were already playing near the food mountain. The four heroes were training quietly by the walls. The elders waved at you with peaceful smiles.

Miya leaned against your side, tail curling around your waist.

"They look so happy, my lord. It's been a good year… but I can still feel that dark presence in the distance. The Goddess hasn't stopped."

The morning was calm and bright. The reborn Eldenwood was thriving.
