"Change of plans," Leon's voice crackled through Adrien's earpiece. "The 'Men in Grey' just entered the north corridor. They aren't here for the shrimp cocktail."
"Leon, extract Lily," Adrien commanded, heading for the exit with Ashley. "We meet at the—"
CRACK.
The sound of a heavy ceramic soap dispenser shattering against a skull echoed from the luxury restroom near the lobby.
Leon had been intercepted.
Inside the marble-tiled bathroom, three agents in charcoal suits had Leon pinned against a gold-rimmed mirror. One held a shock-baton, the blue sparks dancing inches from Leon's nose.
"You've got a real problem with personal space, buddy," Leon grunted. He shifted his weight, his "tactical nap" persona replaced by a coiled, dangerous energy.
"The card, Leon," the lead agent demanded. "Hand it over, and we might let you walk out with your teeth."
"Tell you what," Leon smirked. "I'll give you the card if you can tell me what the 'L' on this tile stands for."
"What?"
"L... for 'Loser.'"
Leon exploded into motion. He grabbed the lead agent's wrist, twisting it until the bone popped, and used the man's own momentum to slam him into the mahogany stall door. The second agent lunged with the shock-baton, but Leon dived under the swing, swept the man's legs, and delivered a punishing kick to his ribs that sent him sliding across the wet floor.
The third agent pulled a suppressed pistol.
THWIP.
A pink gummy bear bounced off the agent's forehead.
"Hey! No guns in the potty!" Lily shouted, standing in the doorway with a heavy fire extinguisher. Before the agent could aim, she squeezed the handle. A cloud of white chemical foam filled the room.
Leon didn't need to see. He moved by sound, the rhythmic thud-crack-snap of his fists meeting fabric and flesh. Ten seconds later, the foam began to settle.
Leon stood over the three unconscious men, dusting off his tuxedo jacket. Lily was busy raiding the lead agent's pockets, humming a cheerful tune.
"Find anything?" Leon asked, breathing hard.
"Just some spare change and a really nice watch," Lily chirped, holding up a silver Rolex. "Oh, and this encrypted burner phone. Score!"
"Let's move," Leon said, grabbing her arm. "Adrien and Ashley are waiting by the service entrance. We've got a city to disappear into."
