"What deadly Hollows?"
"Exactly as the name suggests, the deadly hollows, living being who fall here never get out again, as the hollows is a place of deadly mutated beast and even some high level fiends who feast on beast meat, and the female's meat is most fragrant to them, making it a special delicacy."
Shen Miao broke down in cold sweat, "What kind of zombie beast were these, she though she was done with zombies but even here zombie like creatures exist, what terrible luck."
"If, host can save a beast as system task, the system will grant you a fiend avoiding fragrance free of cost." said the system as if giving off a generous reward.
"Fiend Avoiding Fragrance my foot!, will i be even alive before i find a beast to save, not to mention if the fiends find me then ain't i sending my self to death door." spoke Shen Miao with annoyance.
"Host, that will be really shameful if you died , you will be the first host in system history to die within 24 hours of getting rebirth." spoke the system in a mocking voice.
"Bah, you dog system, won't you be the first system in the history of system to have failed your mission within 24 hours of signing a host, see of that won't be shameful and your system association won't put posters of you to publicly reward you for such an impossible act." spoke Shen Miao, as if the system thought it could rein without her.
The system suddenly felt he could not retort back and shuddered at such a thought.
It was quite for some time and then spoke, "There is a small stream running 500 meters north of the host, there seems to be a fight just now, maybe host can really find someone to save."
With the systems reminder, Shen Miao stopped bickering with it and thought its better to save someone, for now it was the only way to protect herself.
Hence with the instructions of the system she moved 500 meters north, and really found a crystal clear stream sunning down a slope, there she searched carefully but found nothing, at least the area was clear and there was no sign of any beast being wounded or fight breaking out.
"Didn't you say, a fight broke out here and there definitely is a beast who got hurt here, but why is it that i can't find either any signs of fight or any beast."
Shen Miao narrowed her eyes and asked in a dangerous tone," were you joking with me or luring me deliberately to go inside?"
"Host, be mindful, why would i lure you after all if you die won't my efforts to get you here wasted." spoke the system in exasperation.
"Just, say you are worried about your posters hanging around in the system world, and you don't be labelled a useless system and laughed at by other systems." the system literally felt as if he had a physical body he would be hanging down his head in shame.
However now was not the time for bickering, looking at the clear water and the dirt on her body and hair, Shen Miao thought to bath first hence she carefully submerged herself entirely in the stream.
After thoroughly cleaning herself just as she came out she noticed a small almost withered black and gold stream lying on the bank of the stream.
"Is this a beast or just an animal, will saving him count." asked Shen Miao to the system while carefully scrutinizing the almost dead looking snake on the grass.
"This snake beast still has about half a breadth left in it, the host however have to make sure that the target you chose survives, you can chose a different beast to save, if this beast really dies midway, it will count as failure."
"Well, the fate of this little snake was almost certain, she really cannot take the risk with it." Shen Miao sighed while thinking where to find another beast to complete the system mission.
Suddenly the little snake almost the width of a little rope, twitched its body ever so slightly, to Shen Miao it looked like the last futile burst of power when the flame was going to get extinguished but looking at the pitiful creature she could not resolve herself to not give a helping hand.
So she set besides him and carefully put her index finger on its little head, a steady small tread of green spiritual energy slowly started emitting from her finger and entered the little snake, its twitching movement stopped and slowly it succumbed to unconsciousness.
Thankfully, the snake did not die, slowly after about an hour, the snake, although not yet healthy showed a slight breathing movement.
"Host, it seems this little snake has hard perseverance." to think that it was on death door and with just a little support it grasped onto life rather than death.
"Umm hmm seeing him fighting so hard to live, how can we let it die." spoke Shen Miao she was really touched by this snakes perseverance.
Slowly the snake opened its little eyes, although it could not see clearly, he felt an unusual warmth from the person before him, it seemed that this person had saved its life.
"Oh so you are awake, its good, your injuries are very severe, don't move around recklessly, who would harm such a cute creature like you." spoke Shen Miao as she rubbed the head of the little snake with her finger.
The Snake looked at Shen Miao as if confused as to what this human girl was saying, but inhaling the intoxicating fragrance from the girl, it slowly drew near and wrapped it whole body around the wrist of the girl.
Shen Miao was amused by the antics of the little snake, but seeing that this much movement exerted his tiny body and it went back to sleep, she could not muster up her courage to scold it she continued to heal the little snake and only after making sure its condition has stabilized some what that she stopped the healing.
"Although, its condition had stabilized, it would take some time before this little guy can be healed completely."
"Ding... the host has saved a beast, although it just looks like a cub, but the system will reward you with a Fiend Avoiding Fragrance and antidote for the restrictive poison in your body."
