Chapter 214 - Unnamed

Chapter 214 Seeking a Little Advice

Aaron was so sensible that even if Weihet wanted to make things difficult for him, he couldn't find a reason. With a wave of his hand, he withdrew the six lightning-attribute magic circles.

The man and the dragon landed on the ground, both breathing a sigh of relief.

"Now you understand, elemental magic circles aren't that weak," Weihet said, putting away his magic book in front of Aaron. "You want to reach for the sky just because I gave you a ladder? Who do you think you are?"

"Ancestor, you never taught me that magic circles could be used like that," Aaron looked at Weihet with a resentful gaze, his voice full of indignation. If he had known that trick, he might have won.

Weihet gave him a deep look, said nothing, and instead raised his right hand above his head.

Red, green, purple, blue, yellow, black, and white—seven advanced magic circles of different attributes lined up, exuding a power no weaker than a ultimate magic circle.

"My Merlin!"

Aaron stared at the scene, dumbfounded, standing frozen in place.

The Holy Dragon, now the size of a cat, shivered beside him. It had actually roared at this big shot just now, and had even ungratefully spat a few dragon breaths at him.

Although it had a lifespan longer than a Dragon King, the premise of living a long life didn't include courting death!

"Hmph!" Weihet snorted disdainfully, casually withdrawing the seven magic circles.

"I really don't understand where all these messy exclamations in the current magic world come from. Even Merlin would have to call me a senior if he met me."

"You even know Merlin?"

"No, I don't!

But I didn't hear of him when I was alive, so doesn't that make him a junior?"

"That makes so much sense, I'm speechless."

"That's it for the first lesson of the semester!

You can arrange your own curriculum this semester. There's only one task: achieve instant casting of intermediate magiccircles. As for advanced magic circles... just do your best!"

Aaron naturally wouldn't refuse this arrangement; it was much easier than last semester.

He was also very confident. It might be a bit difficult for one person, but there was also a cheat in Hogwarts. With two people combined, it would definitely be twice the result with half the effort.

Aaron subconsciously picked up his wand, then thought of Weihet's use of magic circles.

After a moment of hesitation, he put away his wand and directly used his mental power to draw the magic circle, purple runes slowly appearing before him.

"Wandless casting?" Weihet raised an eyebrow. "I thought you were just not proficient in this technique, but it seems I was wrong. A wand is already optional for you.

You seem to be hiding many things from us, but this is a good thing. It's always necessary to hide your true abilities."

Aaron rolled his eyes speechlessly, "I'm sure you're hiding far more from me."

"It won't be hidden for much longer," Weihet looked at Aaron with a somewhat complex expression. "The Gaius family has many secrets, but these secrets are told to the next generation at a specific time.

It has been this way for thousands of years, for example, the family's Chamber of Secrets, and the existence of people like us.

So... how far do you think you are from accessing the true secrets?"

Aaron paused, feeling a malicious chill shoot from the soles of his feet straight to the top of his head.

The magic circle, which was about to be completed, instantly shattered, and the exploding lightning sent him flying.

Abel immediately ran to Aaron, wanting to check if he was injured.

"I'm fine," Aaron slowly stood up, his face solemn as he looked at Weihet, who had a playful expression. "Ancestor, you've been through this before. Tell me honestly, what do you really know?"

"I signed a contract," Weihet's face held a faint smile. He believed this descendant understood his meaning.

Aaron:...Beautiful, what a versatile excuse! I'll use that to refuse to answer questions in the future too.

"So, I guess I'll have to wait until my father and mother return, right?"

"Smart."

"You've told me so much already; even if I was slow, I'd realize that," Aaron sighed slightly. "I knew this day would come, but I'm only thirteen and not ready yet!

It's not appropriate for an underage Wizard like me to deal with various forces, is it?"

"Such probing is meaningless," Weihet sneered. "You're playing with what we've already played with and discarded."

Aaron heard this and helplessly rubbed his forehead, shaking his head.

As expected, those who are older are not easy to fool. It's really hard to get information out of them!

"New question, is it still too late for me to run away now?" Aaron asked with a serious face.

"What do you think?" Weihet countered.

"Probably... eighty percent no."

Aaron lowered his head somewhat disappointedly, a bitter smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

This ancestor knew his trump cards, including the Disillusionment Charm and Apparition. Since he thought these two types of magic wouldn't help him, it meant there was no possibility of running away.

"I suddenly feel like things have become a bit interesting."

"Indeed, very interesting," Weihet's face showed no emotion, but his eyes gleamed with excitement.

"Can you give me some advice?" Aaron asked sincerely. "Don't feel troubled; I just want a little, insignificant bit of experience."

Weihet frowned, then looked at Aaron with satisfaction, "You're more interesting than I thought.

Some heirs of the Gaius family, like you, also learned some things in advance. They either became uncontrollably excited, eager to access these secrets, or locked themselves in the wine cellar, needing a long drunk to calm down, or maintained their composure, keeping the status quo until the truth arrived."

"What about you, Ancestor?"

"Me?" Weihet awkwardly rubbed his nose. "Sometimes ignorance is a blessing, I suppose!"

Aaron blinked, silently giving Weihet a mental thumbs down.

There was a reason this ancestor was so powerful; he definitely added emotional intelligence to his combat power.

"I only have one piece of advice."

Aaron immediately focused, adopting a serious listening posture, "What is it?"

"Make yourself strong enough," Weihet said solemnly. "So, practice what I teach you well; it will help."

Aaron's mouth twitched. You really had to tell him that?

Although he felt it was a pointless remark from the bottom of his heart, he could only follow this 'pointless remark' now. No matter what, strength was the foundation.

For the rest of the time, Aaron practiced even harder, wishing he could squeeze every drop of magic energy from his body.

At the same time, he also communicated with his thought-form, asking him to spend half an hour each day studying how to cast multiple magic circles at once.

This skill would probably be very difficult, but it was undeniable that if he learned this trick, even if he challenged someone beyond his level, he would be confident in taking on two opponents.

Over an hour later, Weihet looked at the exhausted Aaron and smiled, nodding.

"You should go to your next class."

Aaron stretched, trying to limber up his joints, then slowly walked towards the door that had opened at some point.

"I really should seek some advice from another teacher as well."

Weihet froze, the sentence repeating in his mind. It took him a while to come back to his senses.

"Just with that sentence, you're definitely much more relaxed than we are."

Aaron shrugged, not understanding why such a basic operation was surprising.

Entering the third classroom, Genes was waiting for him with a smiling face.

Aaron quickly scanned the Chamber of Secrets, then hurried to the black stone pillar and placed his right hand on it.

After the figure appeared, Aaron decisively lunged at the other party's right leg.

However, the other party seemed to have anticipated this, and while sidestepping, kicked him in the chest.

"Ouch!"

"Young Master, what are you... doing?"

"Shut up and get out," Aaron said impolitely.

Genes looked at Flo hesitantly. Seeing him nod slightly, he couldn't voice any objections.

"Understood, I'll go prepare lunch for you and Abel now."

After Genes left, Flo looked at Aaron meaningfully, "It seems someone told you something? Alge or Weihet?"

"No, I guessed some things myself."

Aaron said frankly; he wouldn't dare lie in front of Flo Gaius.

This ancestor was a master of psychology, and his proficiency in mind magic made even Weihet wary.

"Still honest," Flo smiled, "though that's not what you're thinking."

"I still have self-awareness. I'd have to be out of my mind to lie to you."

Flo nodded, crossing his arms, "What made you want to cling to someone's leg this time?"

"I need some advice," Aaron said in a deep voice.

Hearing this, Flo's lips curved slightly upward, "So far, not many have realized that."

"Now there's one more."

Flo gave Aaron an appreciative look, then picked up Abel and sat lazily in a chair.

"In fact, all the advice you want has been written in the ancestral teachings by previous ancestors; those are invaluable experiences.

If I absolutely have to give advice, it would be: don't casually speculate about other people's thoughts."

Aaron thought for a moment, "Anything else?"

"No more," Flo said gleefully. "Those of us who have been rained on like to dismantle the next generation's umbrellas. I can only tell you this one piece of advice; others are probably the same."

"Forget it, there are over twenty of them!" Aaron gritted his teeth. "Even if each person says one sentence, I should be able to analyze something."

"This habit of feeling too good about yourself needs to change."

"This is self-comfort," Aaron's face darkened. "What do I need to do next?"

"Do whatever you want. You have half an hour of free time.

Oh, and I have good news for you: your most difficult tutoring period was last year. Starting this year, your study time will be relatively less."

"Then how long do I have to study?"

"Live and learn," Flo put on a profound look. "Of course, nothing is absolute. There are two ways to not have to study.

First is to become the family head. The head of the Gaius family has great power. As long as they don't violate the ancestral teachings, they can do anything within the rules, including not attending classes.

Second is to get married and have children. The Gaius family values the next generation more than any other family in the magic world."

Pfft!

Aaron felt a knife pierce his heart.

Damn it! He'd have to walk at least a few years down either of those paths!

"Is there any other way?"

"Yes," Flo nodded affirmatively. "When can students stop attending classes?"

Aaron seemed to understand something, and smiled bitterly, "When they surpass their teacher."

"Exactly. When we can't teach you anymore, you naturally won't have to attend classes."
