Jamel's jaw locked tightly; the muscles twitched beneath his skin. He dragged his uninjured hand through his hair, forcing himself to breathe before losing his temper.
Manson immediately caught the warning signs and stepped forward.
"Luciano, things are just about bad between the both of you."
He held Luciano's gaze.
"You both need some space."
Luciano scoffed before rolling his eyes.
"Just tell me the truth," a painful laugh escaped him. "He wants to break up with me, doesn't he?"
Jamel's patience finally shattered.
"I'm not breaking up with you!"
His voice echoed through the room.
"Arghh, I just need some space. God damnit!
"This is the hospital; can you both stop this madness!" Justin yelled, "Luciano Jamal is right; you both need space. No one is breaking up, okay."
"Okay."
"Girl," Hazel squeezes his palm, "it's gonna be okay. I think a little distance is precisely what you both need."
