"Fin… are you in there?" Fallyn called, her knuckles tapping lightly against the door.
It opened almost immediately.
Fiona stood there, one brow raised, expression flat. "Xup."
"Alexander is here to see you," Fallyn said.
Fiona's face hardened. "Why the hell is he always coming here?"
"Even if you're exes, you were friends once," Fallyn cut in quickly.
Fiona brushed past her without another word, heading toward the living room. "Then he must be here to see you, not me."
"Why would he want to see me?" Fallyn shot back, confused.
"I don't know." Fiona shrugged carelessly.
"Hi, Fin," Alexander greeted, rising slightly from where he sat.
"Hi. What brings you here?" she asked, dropping onto the couch. The cushions groaned under her weight, and Fallyn sank down beside her.
"My shift ended early," Alexander said, his voice softer now. "I thought I'd take you out."
Fiona turned to him slowly, eyes narrowing. "So you came to take me on a date… without asking if I'm free?"
