Chapter 26 - THE FRACTURE OF WORLDS AND FATE

CHAPTER 26:THE FRACTURE OF WORLDS AND FATE

---

On a quiet mountain peak, Sheng Feng and Chen Mo stood side by side, watching the sun sink beneath the horizon.

The sky burned in layers of gold and crimson, stretching endlessly across the heavens.

A heavy silence lingered between them.

Finally, Sheng Feng spoke.

"Search further," he said quietly. "Across distant planets… and even across different universes. I can no longer sense Hao Chen anywhere."

Chen Mo turned his gaze toward him.

"Leader Feng…" he said calmly, "I believe Hao Chen is still alive. Right now, he should be safe. You don't need to burden yourself so much."

Sheng Feng did not respond immediately.

Chen Mo continued after a brief pause.

"Once Elder Quan fully stabilizes his True Immortal breakthrough… we will have a way to locate him again."

At those words, a faint spark of hope returned to Sheng Feng's eyes.

"Elder Quan has reached True Immortal?"

Chen Mo nodded slightly.

"Not yet. But he has already stepped into the Dao Fusion Master Stage. He broke through last month."

Sheng Feng's expression changed instantly.

The hope in his eyes dimmed slightly.

He turned away slowly.

"Do you understand what that means…?" he said in a low voice.

"Most cultivators spend over one hundred and fifty thousand Wuji Xing years just to advance from Dao Fusion to Quasi Immortal."

Chen Mo lowered his head, remaining silent.

A heavy stillness filled the peak.

Sheng Feng exhaled deeply, then placed a hand on Chen Mo's shoulder.

"Don't lose hope," he said firmly. "We will find Hao Chen… no matter what."

Chen Mo looked up and nodded.

"…Yes, Leader Feng."

---

Eight years later.

---

On the outskirts of a peaceful settlement, Wang Shuang and Wang Gao stood beneath a clear sky.

Time had passed—but the weight of the past had not disappeared.

Before them stood an eight-year-old boy.

Wang Zhongyu.

He stood barefoot on the ground, repeatedly punching a rough wooden training post.

THUD.

THUD.

Each strike was small—but steady. Persistent. Unyielding.

Wang Gao observed quietly.

"This child…" he said slowly, "was born with a shattered dao foundation and a weak body and soul."

He paused.

"And yet… he still continues to train."

A faint look of respect appeared in his eyes.

"Truly impressive."

Wang Shuang nodded beside him.

"Yeah… I remember when he was still a baby. Time really passed fast."

A brief silence followed.

Both of them grew quiet.

---

Not far away, Wang Zhong arrived.

"Good day, elders," he greeted respectfully.

Wang Shuang and Wang Gao nodded in return.

"Father!" Wang Zhongyu called out briefly without stopping his training.

Wang Zhong smiled slightly.

His gaze softened as he looked at his son.

"How long has he been training?" he asked.

Wang Gao replied calmly.

"About two hours. He hasn't stopped once."

Wang Zhong remained silent for a moment.

Inside his mind, a quiet thought emerged.

This child… despite everything… still stands up again and again.

A faint smile formed on his face.

I'm proud of you… my son.

---

Far away, on the planet Somnarra.

A vast and peaceful city had now replaced what was once chaos and ruins.

Countless houses stretched across the land.

Children laughed in the streets.

Merchants called out their wares.

Life had slowly returned.

Yet within a large quiet house…

a single figure sat alone.

Sheng Yue.

---

Inside her room, she lowered her head as silent tears fell.

"Hao Chen…" she whispered softly.

"Can we… still meet again?"

Her voice trembled.

"It has been so many years… and we still cannot find you… or your clan."

Her hands clenched tightly.

"I'm sorry… I'm really sorry…"

Tears continued to fall without end.

Outside her window, the peaceful city remained unaware of her sorrow.

---

Elsewhere, far beyond Somnarra…

A quiet sect stood beneath a calm sky—so peaceful it felt like nothing in existence could disturb it.

An elder stepped forward.

His voice was calm… but carried weight that made the air itself grow heavy.

"Next… we speak of True Immortal Silence."

He paused.

Then continued.

"The path to Immortal King is divided into seven stages."

"First—Boundless Foundation." "Second—Beyond True Immortal." "Third—False Eternity State." "Fourth—True Immortal Core Awakening." "Fifth—Pseudo King Stage." "Sixth—Near King State." "And finally… the peak of True Immortal… True Eternal."

The disciples sat frozen in absolute focus.

Not a single breath was careless.

Then one disciple raised his hand, eyes burning with curiosity.

"Master Chun… how strong is an Immortal King?"

A faint smile appeared on Elder Chun's face.

He placed his hands behind his back.

The wind stopped.

Even the birds in the distance went silent.

Then his expression turned serious.

"How strong… is an Immortal King?"

He exhaled slowly.

"As your teacher… I will tell you. But only a fragment of the truth."

His gaze sharpened.

"Their killing intent alone… can collapse an entire parallel galaxy."

Silence.

"A single glance… can erase a hyper-galaxy from existence."

The disciples' minds went blank.

Before they could even process it—

Elder Chun continued.

"With just a flick of their finger… everything beneath them is erased. No struggle. No resistance. No second chance."

His voice lowered.

"It is not destruction…"

"It is as if it never existed at all."

A cold wind passed through the sect.

One disciple trembled.

Another dropped his weapon.

Someone else fell to their knees without realizing it.

Elder Chun slowly lifted his gaze toward the endless sky.

His voice turned almost hollow.

"In the vastness of existence… we are not even ants."

A pause.

Then the final truth.

"We are nothing… not even something that can be seen to be crushed."
