Amara was not like the other girls.
She asked questions.
Too many.
"Why only girls?" she once asked her teacher.
"Tradition," the woman replied.
"Who made the tradition?"
Silence.
"Why don't the men stay inside?"
"Enough!" the teacher snapped.
