Chapter 1 - 1

Spirit City, inside a luxurious Orphanage.

"Yun Yuan, stop practicing your spear. Today is the day of our Spirit Awakening."

"You're practicing so diligently now, but who's to say your Spirit will even be a spear? You might not even inherit your father's Spirit."

A pockmarked youth shouted loudly toward the center of the yard at a boy who was continuously brandishing a wooden spear.

Today was the day Spirit Hall would awaken the Spirits of these orphans of Spirit Hall.

If they awakened a good Spirit with high spirit power, their future would be incomparably bright, just like their fathers' before them.

The parents of the youths living in this Orphanage were all formerly Spirit Masters of the Spirit King level or higher within Spirit Hall.

However, without exception, they had all sacrificed their lives for Spirit Hall, and in return, Spirit Hall took great care of their orphans.

From childhood to adulthood, the youths of this Orphanage had almost everything they could want, except for the company of their parents.

The youth practicing his spear in the yard was named Yun Yuan. Both of his parents had been powerful Spirit Saints, but they had sacrificed themselves for Spirit Hall shortly after Yun Yuan was born.

But Yun Yuan had another important identity: he was not a person of this World.

He was a Transmigrator!

A Transmigrator just like Tang San, except he was one who had read the original story.

In the center of the yard.

The youth continuously brandished the wooden spear in his hand. Despite his young age, he held the long spear as steady as Mount Tai; the shaft hung slightly, without the slightest tremor.

When he began his stance, his footsteps were light and measured, neither hurried nor slow, each step landing with perfect precision.

Raising his hand, turning his wrist, and thrusting the spear—his movements were clean and agile, lacking any of the flightiness typical of a child.

The sound of the spear tip piercing the air was clear and sharp; thrusting, parrying, and pulling back, every move followed a set pattern. Though his strength was shallow, his character and style had already taken shape.

When he withdrew the spear, his posture was upright and his mind composed. No heavy breathing or sweat could be seen on his small face, only a pair of eyes as bright as stars.

Despite having the body of a young child, he carried a natural air of steady composure—still as a pine, moving like the wind.

"I know, I'll head over with you all right away."

After stowing his spear, Yun Yuan looked toward the yard entrance and responded to his companions of these past years.

Then, he leaned the wooden spear against a tree and followed the group of youths toward the place where the Spirit Awakening would be held.

Before the Awakening Platform.

A group of youths who had just turned six gathered here; some were from the Orphanage, others were relatives of Spirit Hall members...

On the Awakening Platform stood a Cardinal in Red Robes, looking down at the children with a kindly expression.

Seeing that all the youths from Spirit Hall awaiting Awakening had arrived, the Cardinal in Red Robes was just about to announce the start of the Spirit Awakening ceremony.

But in the next moment.

A man with brilliant golden long hair, a handsome face, wearing a gilded papal crown and gold-and-white papal robes, walked to the side of the Awakening Platform.

By his side was a young girl with eyes that sparkled with bright light and a delicate, beautiful appearance.

The moment he saw this man, the Cardinal in Red Robes recognized him immediately and said respectfully,

"Greetings, Your Holiness the Supreme Pontiff."

The man was the current Supreme Pontiff of Spirit Hall, Qian Xunji, and the one beside him was the Disciple he had recently taken in, Bibi Dong.

A peerless Prodigy who possessed twin spirits and Innate Full Spirit Power.

The group of youths below the platform waiting to awaken their Spirits cast gazes of slight reverence toward Qian Xunji.
