Chapter 1 - Indravadan – The Proud King

Indravadan, the ruler of a vast and prosperous kingdom, was a man impossible to ignore.

He stood tall above most men, his broad shoulders carrying the weight of a crown he wore with unquestioned authority. His sharp features and handsome face made him admired by many, while his energetic presence filled every hall he entered. Unmarried and devoted only to his throne, he believed himself to be complete—needing neither companionship nor counsel.

But beneath that regal appearance lived a flaw that shaped his rule—

Arrogance.

Indravadan carried himself like a proud peacock, his chin always lifted, his gaze often looking past the very people he ruled. To him, the kingdom was strong, the lands were fertile, and the people were simply expected to endure and perform their duties without complaint.

When villagers came seeking help, he would listen—but never truly hear.

"What more do they want?" he would often say with a dismissive wave.

"They have land. They have work. That is enough."

He believed strength alone could solve every problem.

He believed effort alone could overcome every hardship.

And most of all—

He believed he already understood everything.

Little did King Indravadan know…

that true understanding does not come from a throne,

but from living the life of those beneath it.
