Plim! Plim!
Yume took a deep breath and looked at her phone.
"Again..."
"Usagui?" Sayuri asked.
"Usagui what?"
"Hey Kenji, I can't stand this anymore, it's all day long. Doesn't this girl have any limits?"
"They're fans, what did you expect?" he said.
"I wanted her to have a life."
Jun laughed.
"Maybe this is her life, just commenting."
Plim! Plim!
"Again?" Kenji asked.
"Ahhhh, I'm going to lose it," Yume complained, throwing herself onto the sofa.
Kenji opened the laptop to see what the girl had been writing.
"Wow, ten messages..."
He started reading and realized they were all directed at Jun, only Jun.
"It's Jun's fault."
"What?"
"Apparently she likes Jun..." Kenji leaned back and showed Jun the messages.
"Sometimes I wonder how I could live without hearing your voice."
"Never stop singing."
"When I listen to Cherry Blossom, I always think it was written for me."
"A dream to meet you in person."
Jun felt uncomfortable and complained that Yume hadn't mentioned the song was written for Sayuri, his girlfriend.
"Ah, but you can't do that either, Jun. The fans would hate the song."
"But it's the truth..."
"It's a truth that doesn't need to be said," Yume said.
Sayuri, who had been silent until then, agreed with Kenji.
"Even you, love..."
"At least in the beginning of the band. The important thing is that I know the song was written for me."
"Relax, Jun," Kenji said.
Plim! Plim!
"Enough for today," Yume said, closing the laptop. "Today I just want to celebrate, just us and nobody else."
The winter vacation ended, and with it came the final semester of college.
Sayuri and Yume were excited to finally graduate and start adult life.
"So, are you excited for the first day of class?" Yume asked.
"A little nervous, but excited. And you, Yume?"
"Very excited, because soon this will all be over and I won't have to wake up early to listen to professors yell."
"You're unbelievable..."
"Tell me, how is Jun doing at work? Is he enjoying it?"
"He's super excited about the job and the apartment, and next weekend I'm going to help him paint the walls of the living room."
"Only next weekend? Why?"
Sayuri explained that she still hadn't told her parents about Jun and wanted to wait until graduation.
"Let's open the books, ladies and gentlemen," the professor said as he entered the classroom full of energy.
Kenji was the only one who had nothing to do, so he spent his time playing different guitar riffs, writing lyrics, and replying to fan comments. During one of those visits to the site, curiosity got the best of him and he decided to reply to Usagui.
"Thank you for your support."
Plim! Plim!
"Wow, that was fast..."
"I can't believe you replied, Jun."
"Oh, she thinks I'm Jun."
He replied again.
"This is Kenji, Jun thanks you for your support but he can't reply right now."
Plim! Plim!
"I understand... is he busy?"
"Yes."
Plim! Plim!
"Does he have a girlfriend?"
Plim! Plim!
"Fiancée?"
Kenji found it strange but replied that Jun was working at the moment and couldn't respond.
Plim! Plim!
"Oh, I see. That's good."
"That's good? What a strange girl."
Plim! Plim!
"Your number, we can talk."
He felt it had gone too far, so he disabled comments, closed the laptop, grabbed his keys, and left.
Beep! Beep!
Jun looked out the shop window and saw Kenji waving, and then a message appeared.
Already leaving? Let's go drink?
Kenji waited in front of the shop while Jun finished his work.
"Hey," Jun greeted.
"You seem to be doing really well at work."
"Work is easy when you know what you're doing, but tell me, where are we going? Did you call the girls?"
Kenji started the car.
"I didn't call them, I wanted to talk to you alone."
"Ohhh, this sounds serious," Jun replied.
"Haha, relax, Jun. It's just about the band."
They went to a cozy tavern on the other side of town. As soon as they sat down, they ordered the usual whisky and beer.
"So, what do you want to talk about?"
"I've been thinking about going back to playing at bars in the city center to improve our music."
"That would be good. It's been a while since we played for an audience."
Kenji took a sip of cold beer.
"Another thing... I was reading fan comments on the site and I talked to that girl..."
"What girl?"
"The one called Usagui, the message girl. I found her questions a bit strange, Jun, kind of personal."
Jun narrowed his eyes.
"Personal?"
Kenji took another sip.
"Yeah. Apparently she wants to know too much about your personal life."
"Did you say anything?"
"No, of course not. I'm just telling you to avoid future problems..."
Jun thought for a moment and blamed Yume without hesitation.
"I told you Yume should have written that the song was for Sayuri, that I have a girlfriend. That would avoid this kind of girl..."
"I don't know, Jun. Yume is good at marketing, so if she thought it was better to hide it for now..."
"Well, if anything happens, Yume will deal with this kind of girl. I don't want problems between me and Sayuri."
Kenji ordered another beer and agreed with Jun.
