One night Laksh came home drunk.
He was about to enter the house when he heard his mother crying and praying.
She was saying:
"Why God… why?
Nobody in this world loves me.
My husband beats me.
My son drinks and treats me like a stranger.
What mistake did I make?
Why are you punishing me like this?
Please God… take my life and give my son a long and happy life.
Give him everything he wants… but please don't give him my pain."
Laksh stood outside the door… listening.
His eyes were wet.
But not enough to stop.
He quietly walked away.
That night, he decided to end his life.
