"I activate the Spell card, [Bonding - H2O]!"
Seeing two [Hydrogeddon] and one [Oxygeddon] gathered on the field, Bastion Misawa let a confident smile spread across his face. He drew one of his two remaining hand cards and slammed it into the slot.
"The effect of this card is simple! By tributing two [Hydrogeddon] and one [Oxygeddon] on my field, I can Special Summon one [Water Dragon] from my hand, Deck, or Graveyard!"
"Two parts hydrogen, one part oxygenproduce water! Come forth, [Water Dragon]!"
"ROAARR!!"
As Bastion's voice rang out, the two brown-mist monsters and the azure-mist monster on his field were instantly drawn into a swirling vortex of light generated by the Spell.
The blue, cyan, and brown currents rotated at high speeds, quickly coalescing into a massive, draconic figure made of flowing, crashing water.

"2800 Attack Points! It's the legendary bane of all Fire Attribute monstersWater Dragon!"
The spectating students of Duel Academy burst into an uproar at the sight!
"Bastion Misawa... he really is the most famous freshman in Ra Yellow for a reason. He definitely has the skills to back it up," Alexis Rhodes remarked, her eyes narrowing in slight surprise.
"Bastion is actually pretty awesome," Jaden Yuki added, his voice buzzing with excitement.
"Ohohoho! In just two turns, he successfully summoned a powerhouse like Water Dragon. 2800 ATK, a demanding summoning condition, and even if it's destroyed, it can Special Summon its three materials back from the Graveyard."
Professor Vellian Crowler stood at the edge of the arena, practically dancing with malicious glee.
"Finish off that Slifer Boy in one go!"
"Jiang He, this is the tactic I meticulously prepared just for our duel! I activate my face-down Trap, [Raigeki Break]!" Bastion raised his hand with a confident grin, flipping one of his two set cards.
The card, depicting a bolt of lightning striking a target, flipped face-up.
"The effect of [Raigeki Break] allows me to discard one card from my hand to choose and destroy one card on the field!" Bastion pointed toward the horizontal monster card on Jiang He's side of the field. "I choose to destroy your face-down Defense Position monster!"
CRACKLE!!
A golden arc of electricity erupted from the Trap card, slamming into the shadowy projection of Jiang He's set monster. The card shattered into glowing particles, vanishing instantly.
From the distance, Alexis and the others caught a glimpse of the card as it brokeit was the [Obnoxious Celtic Guard] they had seen the night before.
"It's time, Jiang He! [Water Dragon], attack him directly!" Bastion commanded with a smirk.
The massive blue dragon reared back, ready to strike.
"My three face-down cards aren't just for show, you know." Jiang He calmly gestured to one of his set cards. "I activate my face-down card: the Continuous Trap, [Nightmare Wheel]!"
As the familiar Trap flipped up, a skeletal torture device began to materialize from the light.
"I was waiting for that! I activate my other face-down card: the Counter Trap, [Solemn Judgment]!" Bastion shouted, his expression one of a man whose plan had just come together. "By paying half my Life Points, I negate the activation of your Spell or Trap and destroy it!"
Bastion's Life Points dropped as a divine ripple spread from his card. The skeletal Nightmare Wheel was shattered into dust before it could even fully manifest.
"He destroyed both Jiang He's Celtic Guard and his Nightmare Wheel in one turn!" Alexis said, her shock evident.
"Bastion is really playing hard!" Jaden, Syrus, and Junko were equally stunned.
Last night, those two cards were the core of Jiang He's strategy to shut down Alexis. Now, Bastion had dismantled them right out of the gate.
"Bravo, Bastion!" Crowler pumped his fists, secretly delighted.
While Jiang He still had two face-down cards, it looked like he would have a hard time dealing with Bastion's momentum. Even if Jiang He managed to destroy Water Dragon with a Trap, its effect would just bring back two Hydrogeddon and one Oxygeddon for a second wave of attacks. The Slifer Boy would be defenseless!
However, as the blue dragon lunged forward to finish its attack, Jiang He's lips curled into a smirk. He flipped another card.
"I activate my second face-down card: the Continuous Trap, [Nightmare Wheel]!"
The words had barely left his mouth when an identical skeletal torture machine materialized out of thin air. In the blink of an eye, the massive Water Dragon was bound tightly within the machine, roaring in futile anger.
"I have another one. Surprised?" Jiang He chuckled.
"Mamma mia!" Professor Crowler shrieked in shock.
"Wh-What?! How is this possible?! A second [Nightmare Wheel]?!" Bastion cried out, his brain momentarily stalling.
He had accounted for cards like [Mirror Force] that destroy attacking monsters, which is why he used Water Dragona monster whose Graveyard effect made it difficult to deal with if destroyed. But he never expected Jiang He to be running a second [Nightmare Wheel]that kind of "toxic" stalling Trap!
Even if it wasn't the Exodia Deck he had predicted, who in their right mind puts two Nightmare Wheels in a deck?! Bastion screamed internally.
