Chapter 1 - prologue

The universe is extremely vast and contains countless galaxies scattered across its expanse. Each galaxy is governed by heavenly laws condensed out of supreme primordial consciousness which once lived in the earth at the time of primordial chaos or the initial stage of the galaxy's creation.

The supreme primordial consciousness includes mythical beasts, devils, angels, demons, elemental beasts, weapon intents, and different natural elements like thunder, fire, wind and others.

All in all, the heavenly laws are a never changing eternal and illusionary code of the galaxy, which no one could alter or change. It just exists between dream and reality, silently ensuring the existence of the galaxy based on the laws engraved on it.

The heavenly laws also vary for different galaxies. Some will be galaxies with ordinary creatures like in the Milky Way. Others will be like Celestia where creatures could wield god like command over different elements of the world and live for thousands of years if their cultivation is high enough.

Of course, unlike the humans on Milky Way who live in relatively peaceful conditions, the humans living in Celestia have to constantly battle against different demon races in the galaxy to avoid being enslaved or used as food for them.

From a certain perspective, if they were just some ordinary humans like the ones from earth of the Milky Way galaxy, they might have been eradicated long ago by the demons without even leaving their bones behind.

Unlike in Milky Way galaxy, in Celestia there are countless planets and each planet has a galactic bridge that connects the planet to the core of the Celestial galaxy called the Galactic Battlefield. As the name entitles, this is the place where the warriors from the different races fight to either conquer or to prevent from being conquered.

...

Galactic Battlefield

The sky was filled with a vast array of stars and the sky was pitch black, yet the vast land below was completely illuminated by the radiance of stars.

But the scene below was not so pleasant. Corpses of humans and demon beasts spread all across the battlefield, chilling one's bones to the core.

Most of the demon beast corpses had some resemblance to mythical dragons with bat like wings and muscular limbs coupled with gigantic frames ranging from ten feet to more than a hundred feet in height. Their corpses truly looked like mountains compared to the tiny human corpses scattered here and there drenched in blood.

Still, the terrifying aura still lingering from these corpses was enough to prove that all these people and beasts were god like existences who once stood above all.

There were also some living humans in the battlefield who sat atop the dragon carcasses or directly on the ground with battered armor and wounds still dripping with blood. Some had missing limbs, some wept like little children, some gritted their teeth in rage while others just sat there calmly as they fixed their eyes on the figure who sat cross legged on top of the largest dragon beast carcass with a blood red sword slightly hovering before him, emanating a terrifying sword intent like rumbling thunder.

The figure wore black armor from head to toe with a hood covering his head and a black mask covering his lower face. Although he also had several wounds across his body he did not seem to care about it as he sat there quietly like a fisherman waiting for the fish to take the bait.

"Nether Emperor, why push yourself so far? The grudge between you and the Dragonian race was concluded when you killed all those who were involved in that incident twenty years ago. We are ready to let go of this grudge. Why are you still coming after us like a mad dog?" Suddenly a furious roar was heard and sound waves rumbled across the battlefield, making the human warriors stumble uncontrollably from the sheer might of this voice.

Only the half masked man sat there like an unmovable mountain with no ripple in his expression.

"Killing those bastards was just to vent the hatred in my heart. But the reason I am blocking you this time is to prevent a similar incident like the one which made me an orphan from repeating again. You can either turn away or advance. But if you choose the latter I will raise my sword towards you," the masked man said calmly.

The other voice fell silent for a moment before a boisterous laughter rang out from the sky, as a hundred and sixty feet tall mountain like dragon beast appeared in the sky.

"Hahaha... Nether Emperor, are you really naive or are you pretending to be one? Do you not know what is the difference between a primordial realm cultivator and a god?" the dragon asked as it squinted its ruby red eyes.

The masked man ignored the dragon's taunt as he slowly stood up with his sword in his hand. "Very well then. Since you are unwilling to leave, let me show you my forbidden spell for one last time."

He paused for a moment as he looked around the battlefield one last time. "This crippled body of mine is already at its limit. I do not know whether this strike will have any effect on you or not, but I can assure you one thing. This will be my strongest attack so far. Let it be my final parting gift for my master."

As he finished speaking, a suffocating aura suddenly spread with the masked man as the center. A majestic pressure equal to the massive dragon in front of him suddenly flooded out, directly colliding with the dragon's aura in a tense standoff.

As if sensing something, the dragon's pupils shrank and without any hesitation it vanished from the spot without even turning back.

"Ten Thousand Creations: All to One," the masked man roared and he transformed into a beam of blue light as he shot forward with unstoppable momentum. Mid air, surrounding water mana conjured around him, transforming him into a hundred feet tall silhouette holding a massive ancient sword as he slashed down towards the fleeing demon dragon like a primordial titan.

"Damn it," the demon dragon let out a curse and increased its speed, but it was too late. A two hundred feet tall sword beam flashed across the sky, directly cutting the massive dragon in two. Even the two halves were not spared as the overwhelming sword intent directly dismantled them into pieces.

Boom.

Even then, the sword beam continued forward, directly cutting open a ravine in the ground and destroying all that came in its way into dust.

From the shock wave alone, a fierce gale kicked up from all directions pushing away the corpses on the ground like dry leaves in a strong wind.

The dozen or so surviving human powerhouses looked at this scene with their mouths agape.

Among them four were genuine god realm powerhouses at the same realm as the demon dragon, yet the demon dragon did not even spare them a glance. Instead it only addressed the young man at the mortal realm, as though only he was its equal.

Now the same boy, despite being at a lower cultivation level than them, actually managed to kill a great demon god without even leaving a complete corpse behind, while as seniors all they could do was just stand at the side with dumbfounded expressions on their old faces.

"Are we not supposed to self destruct and take that dragon god along with us to the afterlife? How come the script changed so suddenly?" one of the god realm experts, a middle aged woman with white hair said with trembling voice as she mumbled to herself in disbelief.

Just as everyone was in a state of shock, the gigantic figure which stood tall as a mountain in the sky suddenly crumpled and the masked man's lifeless body fell directly to the ground, creating a massive pit and kicking up a cloud of dust.

Before anyone could understand the current situation, the corpses on the ground suddenly started withering at an alarming rate as though they had been mummified for thousands of years. Space started cracking like broken pieces of glass and chaos mana manifested into red lightning as it whipped around the battlefield destroying everything it came into contact.

Multicoloured beams of light suddenly shot to the sky from different places of the battlefield and at an alarming rate a massive sky dome made of multicoloured light started taking shape, covering the entire battlefield.

"Not good. There is a naturally formed god level formation here. Everyone get out of this place as soon as possible," an old man shouted and the group suddenly bolted into the sky like rays of light, disappearing into the pitch black sky.

In less than a minute, the sky dome was completely formed and the entire battlefield was covered in a multicoloured dome which isolated it from the outside world.
