Rascal
Astraea Zobel was about to take her night's rest when her phone suddenly rang.
'Who would even call me in the middle of the night?' Astraea thought to herself.
She lazily reached for her phone as it kept ringing on the bedside table. She grabbed it and looked at the caller ID, she furrowed her eyebrows and answered the call.
"What's up Ms. Delgado? Why are you calling me this late at night?" she asked the other line.
"Well I kind of need your help with something Ms. Zobel. Please, this is for the sake of keeping our jobs. I don't know what to do with Sir Aguirre anymore."
Astraea suddenly sat on her bed when she heard Ms. Delgado spoke in a pleading tone.
"What mess did he cause this time?" She asked Ms. Delgado.
"He drank eight glasses of whiskey and began picking a fight to a group of men in the table next to them. His friends are trying to stop him as he cannot win a fight against them! Many people are watching while taking photos and videos of him! I'm quite sure he's going viral tomorrow !" Ms. Delgado shouted the words in panic.
After knowing what happened, Astraea immediately stood up to get her coat and bag and hurriedly went outside her apartment to get a taxi without changing her pyjamas.
She felt frustrated because this is not supposed to be part of her job at all. She's just a social media manager and happen to hold the infamous Iñigo Aguirre's social media accounts.
Iñigo Aguirre is an actor famous for his many controversies as he tends to go to bars and ends up being viral on social media the next day. Then Astraea will sometimes have to overtime on her work just to clean his mess. The reason why he is still in the industry is because there are many fans who are willing to support him despite his issues. If not for his face card, he might have been long gone from the industry. She can't believe he still gets all the supports.
Despite the frustrations, Astraea is glad she is getting paid a lot for her job. But poor Rein Delgado, as the personal assistant, she gets scolded by his manager for not being able to control Iñigo. She's young yet she has to take care of an immature, grown up man. Rein always asks for her help because during this kind of emergency, his manager is nowhere to be found.
When the taxi arrived at the address of the bar Rein texted her, she ran inside after paying and looked for Reina. She saw her raising her hand and pointed her finger toward Iñigo, who's still trying to punch the guy who is also an actor from another company. It could have been worse if his friends are not trying to stop him.
Astraea facepalmed when she saw the situation. Based on the actor's expression, he is not taking Iñigo seriously probably the reason why Iñigo is mad at him.
She rushed in between Iñigo and his rival actor then bowed to the latter.
"I apologize on behalf of Mr. Aguirre! He's drunk and is not thinking straight. If you need compensation for the trouble he caused, please name your price. I'll talk to his manager." She pleaded.
"Nah! I don't need your money. Besides, I only think of him as an arrogant and as a joke. Be glad that I didn't respond to his provocations. I do not want to destroy his pretty face because that is all there is to him in showbusiness. Nothing more." He laughed together with his friends and walked away.
Iñigo did not like what he heard so he shouted curses and tried to chase them but she blocked his way and his friends carried him to the parking lot wherein one of his friends' van is located. Astraea took Rein with her and followed them. They helped him get inside then Richard, the owner of the van, offered to bring the two in their homes since some of his friends brought their own cars and didn't drink that much to be able to drive themselves home.
For Rein's sake, she accepted his offer.
"You have to bring Reina home first before me." She said.
"Fine. Fine." He responded. Then he started the engine and began driving.
She looked at Rein and saw her worn-out face.
"Are you alright?" She asked her.
"I feel really tired but I think I'm getting used to it because it happened many times already." She sighed and closed her eyes.
Astraea stared at the sleeping Iñigo and rolled her eyes. 'This rascal is always up to no good'
When they arrive to her place after escorting Rein, she muttered her thanks to Richard then closed the van's door.
She went inside her apartment and checked the time.
'It is already 2:00 a.m. So much for having rest.' She sarcastically thought to herself.
