Sunnie had spent the rest of the day investing in the meal she was preparing for the wild beasts. Even though she wasn't going to feed them in the coming days, at least she wanted to show some appreciation through the meal. Only then would these wild beasts come and protect them frequently during any upcoming attacks.
While she worked hard on the meal, the kids immediately clustered around her. They seemed to have a lot to say with endless questions and complaints.
"Did someone really come?" Maren asked, curious.
"Were they big and scary?" Ronan inquired.
"Of course they'd be big and scary," Mii expressed.
"How could I miss this? I wanted to see for myself and see how everything ends," Maren pouted. "Why didn't you bring me along, Mama?"
Sunnie smiled. "It was best you continued playing with the rest. It's nothing fun to see at all."
