After a while of thought, she decided to help them out by teaching the husbands how to get the work done instead of causing the leader of the chipmunks—who was already on the verge of giving up—even more headaches.
Sunnie got up from where she was sitting down and observing. She handed Little Maren over to Zukka and Little Black to take care of. The baby was already asleep at the moment so she wouldn't be much trouble to the two who didn't know much about taking care of babies.
Sunnie called her husbands together, and they did as she asked. She told them that she'd be demonstrating how to plant a crop and that they should pay close attention to what she would do. She picked up a crop, bent down before them, and meticulously planted one.
She did another, and then another, watering them gently along the way.
After she finished planting a small row, she smiled as she looked at them. "Did you get that?"
Luka smiled with a nod. "Yes! I think I get it now!"
