As soon as Sunnie and Azure sank into the chilling river, Azure pulled Sunnie by the waist and kissed her.
Sunnie could breathe.
There was no difference between water and land—no resistance, no discomfort. The pill had worked perfectly. There were no obstacles now, nothing holding them back.
She wrapped her arms around Azure's neck, kissing him back as the two of them drifted deeper into the water.
Azure stood there, completely naked, and felt a rush of energy surge through his body. His once pale and weakened form seemed to come alive again. Strength returned to his limbs, and the faint scales along his body shimmered beautifully beneath the water.
