"Is your conference over? I just finished mine," she said to me. "By the way are you feeling alright? Evelyn told me there was some things you wanted to speak about."

My stepmom froze again. "Melody, could you go ahead back to class. I have something to talk about with ms Leopoldo," she said sweetly. Even though she looked pleasant I could feel her hostility rising.
