A slight smile curved the corners of Evelyn's mouth. "Where are you taking me once we land? The Thorn Estate in the country ?"
"What do you think?" He chuckled softly. Once she landed in the Country, she would be staying right by his side.
She curled her lip playfully. "I'll stay at your estate because the children's room is there. But as for you, you can find somewhere else to sleep."
"I'm afraid you'll get lonely," he teased, his right hand resting casually in his trousers pocket as a warm smile touched his eyes.
"Lonely my foot! I can sleep soundly holding my daughter in my arms. I don't want to see you at all," she murmured, turning over and hugging a large plush doll on her bed.
