"That pig placed his filthy hands directly onto your shoulders!" his deep voice resonated, filled with an overwhelming wave of unyielding affection and sheer helplessness. "How on earth am I supposed to find a single shred of peace when you are out in the world acting like this?"
Evelyn dropped her hand from her nose, raising her gaze to lock eyes with his deep, intense stare. "Then don't leave my side! What am I supposed to do if you depart for the Country? Who is going to protect me then?"
