At noon, her phone buzzed with a text: "Come to the Company. Now."
Evelyn sighed and slipped of her chair. she knew the kind of man Michael Thorn was, he would do any to get hos way.
When she arrived at the top floor of The Thorn Tower, the secretary area was empty except for Dominic Falcon. "Miss Sin, the Boss said to go right in."
Inside, Michael was sitting on the sofa, several takeout containers spread across the table. "Come and eat. You didn't have breakfast."
He opened a container of rice for her, placing her favorite side dishes on top of it. Despite her vow to overthrow him, Evelyn found her heart softening as he attended to her. The road to the Presidency would be long, but for now, the "male sex" was proving to be a very distracting obstacle.
"Eat more. Do you remember what I said to you last night?" Michael watched her eat, his voice carrying a silk-wrapped weight that made Evelyn pause mid-bite.
