The four of them continued walking for a while until they reached the cave "its getting dark" kaito said as he noticed the sun setting
"Lets set up camp here" akari said as she began setting up "we'll continue our journey tomorrow" kenji said as he set up tents
"I'll get cooking" Amaya said as she began to get the ingredients and start preparing them for her cooking
"Kaito can you please start the fire?" Amaya asked while preparing the ingredients for their dinner
"Sure" kaito replied as he used his fire manipulation to create a fire for Amaya to cook and to get warmth from the cold mountains
Amaya then began cooking some soup for them with the ingredients that Itsamu gave them
After a while Amaya finished cooking and began serving the soup to kaito, akari and kenji
The four of them began eating the steaming hot soup while watching the snow beginning to fall around them
After a while they then started tidying up the dishes before setting up their tents and heading to sleep with the campfire still on
The campfire casted a cozy glow in them as it kept burning, embers flying and mixing with the stars in the sky, creating a beautiful scenery
Kaito, Amaya, and akari woke up late the next day, having slept so cozy from the warmth of the campfire
The three of them woke up to breakfast laid on a small makeshift table in front of the campfire which was still burning with new wood
The breakfast was fried vegetables and a bit of roasted meat, the aroma filling the air. Beside the breakfast was a note written by kenji
"I made breakfast for you three, im off to check the caves and I'll be back in a few hours" the note said as the three children read them
"We should eat now" kaito said as he patted his rumbling stomach, signaling that he's hungry
"Yeah, im hungry too" amaya said as she began to get the plates and other untensils for them to eat in
They started eating, munching contently om the fried vegetables and meat. After a while they finished eating and began cleaning up
After they finished cleaning up, the three of them went to wander around the snowy mountains
While wandering around, they saw a frozen river "look! A frozen river" kaito said as he pointed to where the river is
"Lets go take a look" akari said as she walked towards the river, followed by kaito and amaya
"We should melt the river to get some water to use" akari said as she examined the frozen river
"Yeah let's do it" kaito said as he stood beside akari, glancing at the frozen river while amaya stood behind them
Akari and kaito then began heating their palms and making fire that they will use to melt down the ice
The two of them then blasted the fire to the river in synchronization, melting the ice quickly and effectively
Soon the river was completely melted and amaya went back to camp to get a bucket to put the water in
They immediately filled the bucket with the water from the frozen river and began walking back
While walking back, akari heard something from a distance and stopped and turned to look at where the sound came from
Kaito noticed this and stopped too "hey Akari os everything ok?" Kaito asked looking concerned
"Yeah just go on without me, i need to check on something" akari said as she glanced at kaito before starting to walk towards where the sound came from
"Ok be careful" kaito called over his shoulder as he walked back, watching Akari's figure fading into the snow as she left
Meanwhile akari followed the noise quitely until she reached a secluded area with ice shards sticking out the ground
She crept closer and saw a boy her age manipulating ice and training his manipulation and aim
She watched as he made ice shards and daggers from the snow and throwing them, hitting the wood targets right in the center
Akari watched as the boy kept training with precision and aim, controlling the ice perfectly
Soon the boy stopped as he noticed her watching him, staring at her with suspicion and curiousity in his eyes
"Who are you?" He asked coldly as he stared and examined her "im akari" akari said as she stepped inside
"What are you doing here" the boy asked, still suspicious "i was just passing by when i heard you" akari replied
"So whats your name?" Akari asked as she approached him "Sota" the boy said coldly as he glanced at her
"Could you teach me how you do that?" Akari asked as she took another step forward
Sota looked at her for a moment before nodding slightly "fine but make it quick" he said as he walked back to the snowy field, expecting her to follow
Akari followed behind him as he began showing her how to get water from snow and turning them into ice shards
Akari copied his movements, stumbling slightly from the new technique causing Sota to chuckle softly
"Its not funny" akari said as she got up, snow on her face and hair "it is" Sota replied as he approached her, stopping right in front of her
"Your so clumsy" Sota said as he brushed the snow off her face, his hand lingering on her cheek for a moment too long
