Kenji and akari stared at the woman as familiarity flickered in their eyes while kaito stood there confused
"Hey guys what are you doing?" Amaya suddenly interrupted as she approached them
"Oh, we were just looking" Akari replied "oh ok then, let's go to there. The dragon dance is starting" amaya said as she began walking, expecting them to follow
"Oh right the dragon dance" kenji said as they all began walking to the center of the village where a large crowd has gathered
"Looks like we made it just in time" kaito said as they looked at the stage where the dragon dance is about to start
The stage lit up with fire as the performers began dancing the dragon dance with precision
"Wow it looks like amazing" akari exclaimed as she watched closely "its actually a fighting style that they use" kaito said as he kept looking
"Wait really?" Akari glanced at kaito in surprise before her gaze returned to the dragon dance
"Yup although its very hard to do" kaito sighed while akari kept watching with amazed eyes
Soon the dragon dance was over and the four of them decide to go back to their camp and rest
"You kids can sleep there, I'll be over there if you need me" kenji said pointing at a tent before heading toward his own
"Ok let's go to sleep im exhausted" amaya said yawning sleepily "you guys go first, i have something to do" akari replied as she left not waiting for their reply
"I wonder what she's doing?" Kaito asked as he looked at where akari disappeared to
"I don't know but im too tired to care right now" amaya replied as she got inside. after a few minutes of standing, kaito heard amaya snore softly
"I guess she really is tired" kaito mumbled to himself as he kept thinking about akari and her interest about the dragon dance
Meanwhile akari was out practicing the dragon dance. She began to copy the movements from memory, falling over a couple of times
Soon she heard a rustle in the bushes "who are you" akari said as she got ready to fight "relax there, i was just looking at you" a boy said as he got out of the bush
His blonde hair caught the moonlight, he was tall with messy blonde hair and freckles on his face
"What do you want?" Akari asked still not letting her guard down at him "i saw you trying to do the dragon dance" he said as he stepped closer
"Mind if i help?" He asked "do you know how?" Akari asked finally letting her guard down slightly
"Yup, i was actually one of the performers" he said grinning "im ryu by the way, you?" Je asked smiling warmly
"Ryu? Like a dragon?" Akari asked curiously "yup and what's your name?" Ryu asked "akari" Akari replied smiling as the moonlight illuminated her features
His eyes widened as the moonlight caught her face "Akari? Nice name, it suits you" ryu said as a small blush crept into his face
"Thanks" akari said smiling "now, do you want me to teach you the dragon dance?" Ryu asked
"Yes,if it isn't too much trouble" akari replied "of course not" ryu replied as he began teaching akari how to do the dragon dance
An hour passes by and akari finally manages to do it after failing many times "you did it!" Ryu said as he walked over congratulating akari
"Yes i did it" akari said smiling happily "your a fast learner,most people would take at least a few days
"Wait really?" Akari asked surprised "yeah, your incredible" ryu said "oh its getting late, i should head back now" ryu added
"Oh right, good bye ryu and thank you" akari said as she waved goodbye to him "good bye akari and good night" ryu replied waving back
"Good night and thanks again" akari said as she left to go back to her tent while ryu stood there for a moment before walking away
Back at camp akari was about to sneak in when she heard a voice "your back late" kaito said as he began walking towards her
"Sorry i got carried away" akari said as she scratched her head in embarrassment "doing what exactly?" Kaito asked suspiciously
"I ran into ryu, one of the performers of the dragon dance and he taught me how to do it" akari said as she moved her hands, excited to show kaito what she learned
"Ryu? He taught you the dragon dance?" Kaito asked as his eyes widened in surprise as he began to feel jealous
"Yup, he said i was a fast learner" akari replied oblivious to kaito's feelings "but still you shouldn't have wandered off like that" kaito said his voice carrying a hint of possessiveness and jealousy
"Are you ok kaito? Your tone seems off" akari asked as she noticed the change in kaito's tone and demeanor
"Im fine now go to sleep" kaito said as he went back to his own tent "oh ok good night" akari said as she went inside her tent to sleep
As she lay down, she couldn't stop thinking about about her accomplishments and kaito's sudden change in personality
But she shook her head and tries to sleep since she's a bit tired as well
Meanwhile kaito aslo lay awake and unable to sleep, thinking about how close akari and ryu must have been
He began imagining them getting closer while he feels a bit of jealousy stir in his heart. He shook his head, trying to shake off this strange feeling
"This is stupid" kaito muttered to himself and tried to get some sleep but failed to do so. After an hour of tossing and turning he finally decide to get up and get some water
Kaito got out of the tent and began walking to a river nearby to wash his sleepless face
As he approached the river he saw a beautiful flower that glowed in the moonlight. The beautiful flower reminded him of akari as he picked it up and put it in his pocket
