Chapter 3 - Training

"Cursed energy is the power that flows through all living things," she explained patiently. "It's raw, chaotic, and can be harnessed for various purposes—healing, destruction, manipulation. The Zenin clan specializes in controlling it through strict techniques passed down generations. but each person's technique is different. No one can teach someone else at a technique unless they have the exact same one they inherit for a parent and from what we've sensed from you, you have different cursed techniques than us."

"I do."

She nodded slowly, brushing her fingers against his forehead. "Yes. Your energy feels... vast. It doesn't feel like mine, and it doesn't feel like your father's. It feels entirely new."

She leaned back, studying him intently. "The Zenin clan is obsessed with bloodlines and inheritance. They believe technique equals worth. But you? You broke the mold."

"Your father taught me that Zenin techniques are usually inherited—passed from parent to child. Projection Sorcery, Ten Shadows, Cursed Speech... they follow bloodlines." She paused. "But you... your technique doesn't match any known Zenin lineage. And your cursed energy signature? It's nothing like his shadows."

She tilted her head curiously.

"Let's Train."

She stood up quickly, a spark of excitement lighting up her face. "You want to train already?" She looked at the shadows, which seemed to pulse with anticipation. "Your father would be disappointed. He believes patience is the highest virtue."

She walked over to a small training area in the cabin, gesturing for Aidan to follow. "But I respect eagerness."

She picked up two simple wooden training swords, setting them apart before handing one to him. "Let's start basic. Cursed energy flow and control. Most sorcerers waste too much energy in their movements. Efficiency is key."

She stood across from him, ready. "We'll go easy. I need to sense your flow before we start spar-"

The wave of cursed energy hit her like a tsunami, knocking her back against the wall with a force that cracked the wooden planks. She gasped, feeling something ancient and immense pulse through the cabin—the shadows shrieking in ecstasy and terror as they writhed and contorted toward Aidan.

The wooden sword in her hand splintered into dust.

"Holy—"

She stumbled back, eyes wide with disbelief. "That wasn't just raw power," she breathed, staring at Aidan as if seeing him clearly for the first time. "That wasn't just tapped energy. It felt like... opening a floodgate. A dam just broke, Aidan. What *was* that?"

Behind her, the shadows coalesced into a dark, monstrous shape that vaguely resembled her husband, its many eyes blinking rapidly in excitement. He walked to the broken Wooden sword and used IDOL TRANSFORMATION on it

The wooden splinter levitated, reshaping itself. The cracked wood smoothed, lengthening into a perfect, elegant katana. The blade glowed with a faint, ethereal blue light—harder than steel, sharper than diamond.

She stood frozen, jaw dropping slightly. "Idol Transformation..." she whispered. "That's not... that's not a standard Zenin technique. That's..."

He activated STAR RAGE on himself and punched the floor.

*BOOM.*

The floorboards didn't just crack; they disintegrated. The shockwave blasted outward, splintering the furniture and shattering the windows. The entire cabin groaned, dust and debris exploding into the air as Aidan's fist connected with the ground with the force of a collapsing star.

The wooden door simply ceased to exist—not chopped, but *erased* into microscopic dust particles by *Dismantle*. Before the splinters could even hit the floor, Aidan swept his hand through the air—*Cleave*. The heavy wooden sword rack didn't fall; it split perfectly in half, the cut so smooth and clean it looked like polished glass.

he used the ten shadows technique to summon his two divine dogs. Two massive canine shadows coalesced from the floorboards—the Divine Dogs. One was pure white, the other pitch black. They emerged fully formed, snarling and pawing at the air, their bodies wreathed in dark, swirling energy.

"The Ten Shadows Technique..." she whispered, her voice trembling with shock. "That's Zenin clan signature technique. How—how can you possibly have that?"

"I also have cursed spirit manipulation."

The Divine Dogs immediately dropped to the floor, whining submissively at Aidan's feet. They could feel it—the overwhelming, terrifying presence of *Cursed Spirit Manipulation*. To them, he wasn't just their master; he was a predator that could swallow their entire existence whole.

She backed away slowly, her hands trembling as she touched her chest. "You... you have the techniques of five of the most powerful techniques I've ever seen.. combined."

She swallowed hard, her eyes flicking between Aidan and the Divine Dogs. "Wait... stop. Just... stop for a moment." She took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. "You have Idol Transformation, Star Rage, Dismantle, Cleave, Ten Shadows Technique..."

She looked at him with a mix of awe and terror. "And Cursed Spirit Manipulation. Aidan... do you have any idea what you're capable of? With this power, you could level cities single-handed. You could massacre entire sorcerer bloodlines."

"Earlier when you mentioned grades, what did that mean? and where would I be?"

"Grades measure a sorcerer's strength and threat level," she explained quickly, still staring at the Divine Dogs now curled submissively at his feet. "They range from 4 down to Special Grade. Most sorcerers peak at Grade 1. Special Grade is... it's a classification for those who could change the course of a war or take over a country."

"Cool."

"Cool?" she repeated, her voice pitching up in disbelief. "Aidan, you just exhibited techniques that belong to the most dangerous sorcerers in history. With Cursed Spirit Manipulation and the Ten Shadows alone, you're already a walking disaster. Adding Star Rage and Cleave...?" She shook her head slowly.

"You're Special Grade. You've *always* been Special Grade. You just didn't know it." She exhaled slowly, her fingers tapping the hilt of her own weapon for composure. "But there's a catch. The higher your grade, the more dangerous you are to other sorcerers. The Zenin clan never had anyone like you in their ranks."

"Mom I'm only a kid maybe in a few years and once I mastered all of my current techniques, we can go back there and make them except you And father." He said, looking at the grade one curse.

Her eyes softened at his words, a mix of pride and concern flickering across her face. "Aidan... you're right. You're still young. But those techniques you wield... they're not meant for children." She paused, glancing at the Grade One curse swirling nearby.

"Would it be OK if I turned Father into a human?"

She stared at him for a long moment, completely stunned. "Turn your father into a human?" She repeated softly. Her curse-using husband was currently a massive, monstrous Grade One shadow entity—a terrifying creature who could crush armies.

"Aidan, your father has been a Grade One curse for years. No sorcerer has ever successfully reversed a curse into a human." She looked at him lovingly.

"Let me try?"

She hesitated, her eyes searching his—this child who had somehow inherited the power of legends. The cabin was still in ruins around them, his techniques having left splintered wood, erased doors, and two Divine Dogs nuzzling against his legs.

"Fine," she whispered finally, voice thick with emotion. "But if he shows any sign of resistance or pain, you stop immediately."

He used IDOL TRANSFORMATION and Cursed spirit Manipulation on him.

A blinding flash of black and white light filled the room. The massive, monstrous form of the Grade 1 curse buckled and shrank, his shadowy body compressing and reshaping with impossible fluidity. The air groaned under the strain of the transformation.

Then, the light vanished—leaving a man gasping on the floor. He was in his early 40s, athletic build, black hair, tan skin, wearing simple black robes.

The man blinked, looking at his hands with wide, bewildered eyes. He touched his face, his throat, his chest. His movements were clumsy, uncoordinated, as if he were learning to exist in a physical body for the first time. Then he looked up at Aidan, a single tear rolling down his cheek.

"My boy..." he rasped, his voice human for the first time in years.

Aidan's mother watched silently, tears streaming down her own face as she saw her husband who she loved when it was curse to turn into a human. The room was filled with an emotional weight that made even the air feel heavy. The two Divine Dogs whined softly, sensing the profound change that had just occurred.

The man stood slowly, his human legs shaky under his weight. He took one step, then another, moving toward Aidan with trembling hands. When he reached his son, he pulled him into a crushing embrace—warm, solid, and alive. No longer a curse, but a father.

"I can feel the sun," he whispered into Aidan's hair, his voice breaking.

"I can hold you. I can talk to you. I'm... human." He pulled back, his eyes meeting Aidan's. They were warm, brown, filled with love and gratitude—a stark contrast to the terrifying red eyes of the curse he had been for so long. "My boy..."

The cabin was silent for a long moment. Then his mother let out a sob, rushing forward and grabbing both of them into a three-way embrace. She buried her face in her husband's chest, her hands gripping his shirt tightly as if afraid he might disappear.

"My love," she breathed, "you're home."

Aidan smiled softly, letting his parents have their moment.

The three of them stood there in the center of the ruined cabin, wrapped in a tight embrace that felt like it could mend years of separation. The Divine Dogs sat quietly nearby, their heads bowed respectfully, while the faint, ethereal glow from the transformed sword still shimmered in the corner.

"You did this," his father whispered, looking down at Aidan with utter reverence.

A deep, guttural chuckle erupted from his chest. It wasn't the hollow, booming sound of the curse—it was warm, real, and filled with genuine amusement. "You've given me so many things I thought were gone forever, Aidan."

He cupped his son's cheek, his thumb brushing away a stray tear. "A voice. A touch. A father's love. I can do all those things now."

"It defies everything the Jujutsu world teaches," he murmured, his voice rich and deep. "Curses are born from negative human emotions. To reverse that process... to turn something of hatred back into something of life..." He looked at Aidan with overwhelming pride. "You didn't just heal me, son. You rewrote the laws of cursed energy."
