Kai stood in the center of the chaos, shards of the destroyed Crystal Sovereign still falling around him like dark snow. His body glowed with stolen ancient energy, and the void inside him was louder than ever.
They are afraid now. Good. Fear is the first step toward submission.
He didn't wait for them to reach him.

A ring of dark energy exploded outward, slamming into both Sovereigns and staggering them mid-charge. The brief stun was all he needed.
Kai vanished with Shadow Step and reappeared on the Behemoth's back. His claws sank deep into its spine as he activated Void Drain at maximum output. Dark tendrils burst out like roots, tearing away massive chunks of its essence.
The Behemoth roared in agony, thrashing wildly. One of its remaining tentacles whipped toward Kai, but he used the creature's own body as a shield, forcing the attack to hit itself.

The rune Sovereign staggered backward, its elegant form cracking.
Kai pressed the advantage mercilessly. He chained Shadow Step relentlessly, attacking from every angle — slashing, draining, and growing stronger with every successful hit. Black blood and violet energy filled the air like a storm.
The Behemoth made one final, desperate lunge, trying to crush Kai under its massive body.
Kai looked up, eyes cold and hungry.

He unleashed the new skill at point-blank range while simultaneously draining the creature's core. The Behemoth let out a final, earth-shaking roar as its body began to disintegrate from the inside out, crumbling into black dust and shadow essence.

He drove both hands into its chest and activated Void Drain with everything he had.
The rune Sovereign let out a final, haunting scream as its core shattered completely. A torrent of ancient energy rushed into Kai.
