In the Pride Ring, Aiden could be seen sitting on the edge of a cheap, worn-out mattress, staring at seven small totems arranged neatly on the floor. They were transfigured rats — his current limit. Each one carried a fragment of his soul, acting as loyal scouts and emergency backups.
"Well… this is bad," he muttered, throwing himself backward onto the thin mattress. The room was small, poorly lit, and smelled faintly of mold. He had moved out of the Hazbin Hotel like he said he would, but the place wasn't exactly comfortable. Still, it was the best he could afford for now with the limited resources he had scraped together.
"Animals are hard enough to get… and I don't dare transfigure sentient beings… at least not yet," he said quietly to himself. "Until I find a better solution, I'll avoid using that."
He picked up one of the rat totems and carried it into the living room. The apartment had a chaotic, messy vibe similar to Blitzo's place in the series, though Aiden had changed one or two things to make it slightly more livable — mostly by transfiguring some furniture into more durable shapes.
"Hey Mel, quick question," Aiden said, leaning against the old couch while Mel sat nearby sharpening a kitchen knife with focused precision.
"Go ahead…"
"Is there any way for a sinner to leave the Pride Ring and go to the other rings?"
Mel stopped sharpening the knife for a moment.
"Honestly, that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. The Pride Ring is basically a prison. It would be nearly impossible for sinners to reach the other rings, especially the deeper ones. We wouldn't have enough time during an Extermination to find many before it ends," she explained, examining the blade's edge. When the silence stretched on too long, she glanced back.
The front door was wide open. A note was stuck to it:
*Went out to buy milk. Be back soon.*
*P.S.: Don't let the trio of cockroaches find the book about World War II.*
Mel sighed deeply.

In a remote, desolate corner of the Pride Ring, Aiden stood staring at the cracked, dry ground. The earth was parched from lack of water, but who cared?
"If what I learned from Godzilla is real…" he whispered.
His body began to melt and deform through Idle Transfiguration, turning into a white, glue-like mass. Slowly, the ground swallowed him whole.
"…then it's always possible to go down," he finished as he was literally consumed by the earth.
Aiden sank deeper and deeper. The light from the surface vanished completely. He kept forcing his way downward using raw brute strength, literally digging a tunnel straight out of the Pride Ring into another. Was it illegal? Maybe. Did he care? Not really.
"How much longer, God…" he groaned. The soil was becoming increasingly hard. He had to create a small pocket of space just to catch his breath and recover.
"Okay… I need to plan this descent better," he muttered. He pulled out the stolen phone he had taken earlier and searched for something to pass the time. Eventually, he found a rock playlist and picked a song that felt appropriate for digging.
"This'll do…"
**"I'm a gnome digging a hole~
Dig dig dig~"**
The music echoed strangely inside the tunnel as Aiden continued digging even deeper. At one point, he had to reinforce his body with cursed energy just to break through thick plates of raw iron ore. He even found some interesting minerals along the way, but the only thing he bothered to take was a mediocre emerald.
"Where the fuck is the end of this shit—"
His words were cut off as the ground suddenly gave way beneath him. He began falling heavily. He had finally breached into the next ring — the Wrath Ring. Looking up, he watched the ceiling of earth disappear as an orange sky came into view.
"Okay… I'm the first non-Hellborn being to reach this deep beyond the Pride Ring," he said, letting himself fall while rapidly transfiguring his body. He tried to create large bird wings for gliding, but it was difficult. He had never properly studied biology and had no real understanding of how bird flight actually worked.
"FUUUUUUUUCK—!"
He spotted several colossal trees below and remembered that trees were usually his friends. He dove toward them, trying to slow his descent by grabbing branches, but…
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Fuck!?"
He crashed violently through dozens of thick branches, smashing his head against one particularly hard limb before losing consciousness completely.

Meanwhile, in an enormous palace deep within the Wrath Ring, a massive figure sat at a long British-style dining table.
This was the Sin of Wrath himself — Satan.
"Time for dinner after another day full of rage in this place…" he grumbled, waiting for his meal.
"The dinner is served, my lord," a feminine voice announced.
Several imps carried in a grand banquet and placed it on the table. At the center of the service stood a sinner woman. She wore a chef's outfit, had her eyes permanently closed, and possessed multiple arms.
"Thank you for the food, Fall," Satan said. The sinner bowed respectfully and left the room. She still needed to gather a few more ingredients from the forest. After all, she was one of the few people who had permission to travel between the rings.
