Love's eyes widened at Klaus's words. Her heart shuddered, and she instinctively tried to step back, putting distance between them.
But Klaus gave her no such chance. He closed the distance between them as swiftly as wind filling an empty space, grabbed her body, twisted it, and slammed it against the wall beside them.
Love gasped, the air knocked from her lungs, teeth grinding together as she glared at him with intense anger, yet underneath, something unnamed lay buried deep.
"What are you doing?" She hissed, not liking that she'd lost the momentum of this conversation so easily.
"Do you accept, or not?" Klaus asked directly, smiling provocatively, "Or are you actually afraid of losing?"
"I won't lose to you."
"Then accept."
"What you're asking is too much." Love shot back, eyes narrowing, "You want me to break up with Emrys? In front of everyone? Have you lost your damn mind?"
