Chapter 5 - Our Precious Wedding Night Should Not Be Wasted

A brief shot of pain hit her forehead. When she realized that she had bumped into Christopher's chest, she was about to retreat with a red face when a pair of strong hands supported her waist. Her whole body suddenly leaned forward and was forced to stick to Christopher's body.

"Ah..." Janice screamed, her heart pounding.

"Does it hurt?" Christopher asked with concern.

Before Janice could answer, she saw Christopher extending his slender and beautiful hand and caressing her forehead.

"Oh my god, how can a man's hand be so soft? It doesn't even hurt much after being touched by him, and it feels so comforting."

Janice blinked her eyes in a daze and happened to meet Christopher's gaze. She quickly looked away with a guilty conscience.

It was not good to be like this. She had just gotten married, and she was already charmed silly. She had to be more reserved.

"Yes, be more reserved!"

Janice quickly broke free from his arms, patted her burning cheeks, and stammered, "No... it doesn't hurt. Well... this place is a little small."

Janice felt a little awkward. It was strange. Usually when alone, this place didn't feel small at all. Now that there was Christopher, it seemed that the space had shrunk a lot.

Christopher retracted his hand and stared at Janice, who was still feeling uneasy. A playful look flashed across his eyes.

For some reason, there was an indescribable sexual tension in the air.

Janice felt a little uncomfortable. After a while, she broke the silence.

"Well, it's getting late. You can take a shower and go to bed first. I have to rush a draft article."

As she spoke, she turned around and placed her laptop on the table. Just as she was about to open it, a hand stopped her.

Janice was stunned, and her body was quickly enveloped by a strong aura.

Christopher stood behind her. His hands crossed her shoulders as if he was hugging her from behind. His chin was slightly pressed against her earlobe, and his low voice was a little intoxicating.

"Our precious wedding night should not be wasted. Don't you think we should do something in this moment?"

Janice felt hot in her ears and her pulse quickened. She was not a clueless and ignorant girl, so she could understand his hint.

However, for him to say it out loud, it was a little embarrassing.

"Well... I haven't taken a shower yet. Why don't... you take a shower first..."

"It's a waste of time to shower separately, huh?"

"That damn voice is so sexy."

Janice's cheeks were red all the way to her neck, and she felt tongue-tied. She didn't know what to say. It was not good to be so crazy from the beginning.

"Are you shy?"

Christopher stared at her red ears and found her increasingly interesting.

Janice was so embarrassed that she wanted to find a hole to hide in. Since they were married, she should have thought about this.

However, at that time, her emotions were so complicated that she didn't think of this. So she didn't have much mental preparation, and she couldn't help but be at a loss.

It was too hypocritical to refuse at this time.

"Forget it. Anyway, we've got the marriage certificate. I'll have to do it sooner or later."

Janice made up her mind and turned around. She coughed dryly and said, "Well... why don't you take a shower first? I'll clean up the bedroom."

She really couldn't imagine the embarrassing scene of the two of them in the bathroom.

Christopher stared at her little face, which was as red as a cherry. Just now, he saw that she was very cute, so he couldn't help teasing her.

He didn't expect her to be so easily embarrassed, so he stopped joking.

"I can take a shower first, but you are not allowed to work!"

His tone was a little overbearing.

Janice had no choice but to compromise. "Okay, I promise I won't work."

Only then did Christopher turn around and go to the bathroom. Janice finally heaved a sigh of relief.

But what should she do later?

Janice thought about what was going to happen and felt uncomfortable.

"You have been in the shower for more than half an hour."

This was Christopher's second reminder.

...

Janice was a little embarrassed as she hid in the bathroom. She had indeed showered for quite a while.

However, she had no choice.

"Who told him to linger at the door all this time?"

Janice wanted to cry. As long as she thought of what she would face when she went out, she did not want to leave the bathroom.

However, they were already married, so she couldn't be irresponsible after using him for the marriage certificate.

"Forget it. I'll have to face this sooner or later. I can't stay in the bathroom all the time, can I?"

Janice gritted her teeth. This time, before Christopher could urge her for a third time, she finally emerged.

Christopher leaned against the bathroom door and couldn't help frowning as he stared at the figure of Janice who was slowly walking out of the bathroom.

Was he that scary?

Out of the corner of her eye, Janice saw Christopher staring at her. She was too embarrassed to look him in the eye, so she stammered, "Um, didn't you say you were going to sleep? Why are you still standing here?"

Janice felt like she was heading for her death.

A mysterious smile appeared on Christopher's face. He reached out and put his arm around her shoulder. Janice's body stiffened, and Christopher planted his lips over her ear.

"Indeed, it is time to sleep."

The whole sentence sounded light, but the word "sleep" was emphasized.

Janice was silent.

"Are you afraid of me?" Christopher walked to the bed with Janice in his arms.

Janice shrugged her shoulders uneasily. "No, I'm just... not ready yet."

Her voice was very low. If it weren't for the silence around them, Christopher wouldn't have been able to hear it.

He frowned. "You didn't think about it when you wanted to get married?"

"It's not like that..." Janice didn't know how to describe her feelings at this time. She was a little shy, and maybe a little repulsed, but the main bulk of it was fear.

From novels she read, it was very painful for the first time.

But she couldn't tell him that she was afraid of pain.

She made up her mind and looked up at him with her big watery eyes. "Can you... be gentle?"

She bit her pink and tender lips and looked at Christopher with her limpid eyes. Her pitiful look tugged at his heartstrings.

Originally, Christopher didn't intend to have her, but now, seeing Janice's fragile look, he felt his lower abdomen tighten. For the first time, he couldn't control himself.

Especially her small mouth...

He reached out to hold her palm-sized little face and gradually approached her. He felt that her little mouth had a deadly temptation. He gently rubbed her lips, but his gaze became deeper.

However, Christopher restrained his desire and kissed Janice's lips gently again. "Go to sleep. I'll wait for you to be fully prepared."

Early the next morning, Janice was woken up by the ringing of a bell. "Janice, we have an interview today. Don't be late."

The voice of her colleague, Susanna Lisbeth, came from the other end of the phone.

Janice then remembered that she was scheduled to do an interview later.

She got up from the bed and thought of Christopher's understanding words last night. "I'll sleep on the sofa tonight."

So last night, Christopher had slept on the sofa.

With Christopher's impressive height and build, the sofa was definitely not the best place for him to rest, but in the end, she acquiesced.

After washing up, Janice walked out of the bedroom quietly. On the small sofa in the living room, Christopher's body seemed particularly awkward.

She felt bad and wanted to ask him to join her on the bed, but she couldn't bear to wake him up.

She stared at the sleeping man. Apart from the fact that he did not have a job or financial stability, he seemed to be a really good man. Even if he had to depend on her for the time being, she was happy.

However, as a man, he might not be able to accept it.

As Janice stared at Christopher he woke up, their eyes instantly met.
