Ken stared at Hades.
The ring glinted in the starlight. The ocean whispered around them. The distant giggles and camera flashes from the main ship faded into background noise.
He's on his knees. He's proposing?
Ken's mind went blank. His heart stopped. His breath caught in his throat.
Then—
A smile broke across his face.
It started small, trembling at the corners of his mouth. Then it grew, spreading like sunlight across his features, reaching his eyes, warming his entire being.
"Yes," he whispered.
Hades's eyes widened. "What?"
"Yes." Ken's voice grew stronger. "Yes, of course yes. A thousand times yes."
Hades's face transformed—the tension melting away, replaced by pure, unguarded joy. His hands trembled as he slid the ring onto Ken's finger.
It fit perfectly.
