The sky was covered with dark black clouds.
Everything was silent.
There was a burning smell in the air. Blood was everywhere.
Beasts were eating the dead bodies. Even though this was a battlefield, they came because they were hungry. They were tearing and pulling the bodies without stopping.
And I… was standing there.
On top of countless dead bodies, I watched them slowly rot. Flies were flying around them.
For a moment… I felt something strange.
I was just like those beasts. My whole body was covered in blood. But the blood is not mine… but theirs.
So what am I?
A human?
A god?
A demon?
…Or just a monster?
So many people died in a moment. All for one thing- "Revenge".
Cough…!
The sound broke the silence.
Not far away, Nuhash was still alive.
A large sword was stuck deep in his chest. Blood was coming out of his mouth as he struggled to breathe.
Sameer slowly turned his head and looked at him. For a few seconds, he said nothing.
Then he started walking toward him.
Step by step, crushing bodies under his feet.
Nuhash (weak voice):
"Am I still alive… just to listen to this…? With a sword in my chest… Sameer?"
He coughed again.
Sameer stopped in front of him. He looked down at Nuhash quietly. Then he bent down his head a little, coming closer to Nuhash. A small smile appeared on his face.
Sameer:
"Oh… right. Sorry. I forgot you were still here."
He looked at the sword stuck in Nuhash's chest. Then suddenly-
He pushed it a little deeper.
Nuhash:
"AAARGH!!"
His body shook in pain. Blood spilled onto the ground. Sameer watched him calmly.
Sameer (soft voice):
"It hurts, right? Don't worry… I won't let you die so fast."
A faint smile stayed on his face.
Nuhash (breathing hard):
"I would rather die… than listen to your nonsense…"
Sameer gave a small laugh. Then he leaned a little closer.
Sameer:
"Nonsense!!?.... I am not telling a story."
He looked around the battlefield.
"I am just thinking… After killing thousands…
What should I feel?"
Nuhash forced a weak smile.
Nuhash:
"God will never forgive you… You will pay for everything…"
Sameer stopped smiling. He looked at Nuhash for a moment, he stayed silent.
Then suddenly-
He grabbed the sword and twisted it.
Nuhash:
"AAAAHHH!!"
A loud scream echoed. Blood burst out again.
Sameer moved close to his ear. His eyes turned cold.
Sameer (whisper):
"Where is your God now? You are dying… but he is not helping you."
He tightened his grip.
"Where is the one who gave you power to fight me? All of this is a lie, Nuhash. Everything… Everything is just an illusion. You are just a puppet… Controlled by some gods."
Nuhash smiled weakly. Even now… he did not lose his belief. He struggled to breathe.
Nuhash:
"No matter what you say… God will destroy you…"
"You are just a devil… He will not come himself… But he will send many heroes like me… to kill you…"
Suddenly—
Sameer grabbed Nuhash by the neck and lifted him up.
Nuhash:
"Ghh…!!"
He tried to breathe but failed. Sameer looked straight into his eyes. His face was calm… but cold.
Sameer:
"How foolish are you? After everything… you still believe in that God?"
His grip became tighter.
"He did nothing… while your friends died. He did nothing… while you suffered."
Samir's voice became colder.
"I thought you were a hero… But you are just like the others… "Blind"."
Nuhash suddenly smiled. A quiet… peaceful smile. In the next moment-
Slash—
His head fell to the ground. Blood splashed across Sameer's face. His body dropped… lifeless.
Everything became silent again. Sameer stood still for a moment. Then he slowly pulled the sword out.
Blood dripped from it.
He looked at it… then made it disappear.
Slowly, he raised his head.
Far away—
A red sun was going down. The battlefield looked darker under its light. Sameer watched silently.
It felt like the screams of thousands… were sinking into the darkness with the sun.
And just like that - "A legendary hero… came to an end".
