Chapter 1 - chapter 1

 Brielle

On my wedding night, I realized I was the other woman in my mate's life.

"Oh fuck! You took the wrong lady!" A masked tall man dressed in black cursed as he paced around angrily.

I was dressed in a short white dress which had turned brown from all the dirt around me, my hair that was once packed into a bun was hanging loosely for dear life and my makeup was now smeared with tears.

"But… But we saw her get married to the alpha this afternoon, they're mates… I'm sure he's going to start feeling the bond and he'll bring any amount we ask." Another replied and I whimpered.

"She's the fucking wrong lady! The right one is a slender blonde, how could you make such a mistake!" He snapped and they looked at themselves with disarray.

Was this some sort of confusion? This must be orchestrated by the goddess, this is her way of saving me from whatever bad intentions for me.

We were in some abandoned house, it had an eerie feeling and everywhere reeked of dust and their sweaty bodies, they seemed like low lives who just wanted some money.

My arms were wrapped around my folded knees and I was trembling with fear, a lot of thoughts were running through my mind and all I wanted to do now was contact Dylan but his wolf wasn't responding.

Three men had stopped my car on my journey to the pack house about an hour ago when Dylan instructed me to head home, stating that he had a little gift he wanted to pick up.

"Please don't hurt me…." I shrieked when their leader stepped close.

"Oh please, you're useless, throw her out, we've got no use for her." Their leader ordered, making them stunned.

"Boss… Are you sure about this? She's the Luna…"

"She's not the one we want, she's worth nothing, we're going to make proper plans and take the right person later. She's the other woman." He replied and to my amazement, I was untied and pulled outside roughly.

Whatever they were saying about another woman had nothing to do with me knowing fully well I was the only lady in Dylan's life, his first and only mate.

I was thrown into the car and the driver sped off, cussing me out and to my astonishment, I was dropped outside the pack and he dashed away, making me choke on the exhaust of the car.

Grateful to finally be home, I was filled with happiness and joy as I rushed inside, ready to tell Dylan about how the goddess had saved me.

I was panting heavily from tiredness and excitement but my steps faltered as I neared the living room.

Moans and grunts could be heard before I walked inside and I shook my head. "It could be the guards, they were probably having fun while their alpha is out there searching for me.

"Oh yes! Yes, Dylan… Don't stop… Oh… Oh…" Her loud and familiar moans filled the living room and the air was thick with their scents.

My heart constricted, breathing became difficult for a moment and I panted heavily, forcing my heavy legs to keep moving.

Walking into the living room, my eyes almost popped out when I found him and Lydia joined at the hip, sweating profusely with their eyes shut.

Tears welled up in my eyes and my heart shriveled up, my hands trembled as I tried to understand what was going on.

The same Lydia whom he had saved me from her bullying a few weeks ago. My vision blurred.

They both glanced at me for a minute and Lydia's eyes glowed while a smirk spread across her lips.

"Oh fuck, you're doing it just right! Yeah, harder, baby! Don't you dare stop!" Her moans increased, making it obvious they weren't bothered about me.

My heart shattered as everything went still for a moment, they weren't remorseful, my presence meant nothing to them and they continued like I was a spectator.

Those kidnappers were correct, I was the other woman, I wasn't important to him.

Hot tears began rushing down my cheeks and without a word, I dashed out of the house, running as fast as my legs could carry me.

My stupid ass thought the goddess confused them in order to save me but now the truth was extremely glaring.

I wanted to run until the pain disappeared, until I was too exhausted to even remember the pain. I wanted physical pain to combat the emotional damage inside me. My head banged and the images of them together flashed in my head.

My heart shriveled, my bones quaked and my lungs were closing up, it was hard to breathe and even harder not to.

My wolf was howling in agony, she was slowly fading into the darkness, this was the greatest betrayal we had experienced, life had been cruel and it was even more devastating to see our mate with another lady.

She shut me out, wanting to nurse her pain alone.

Now I understand why I couldn't contact him, he blocked us out just to focus on Lydia…

I just wanted to die, running into the open, my eyes widened in shock as I heard loud screeching.

I wasn't allowed to turn around before I felt hard metal hitting my legs, it sent me tumbling on the ground as a grunt escaped my lips, darkness engulfed me like a blanket as I lost consciousness.
