Chapter 21 - Chapter 21:The Rescue

Anjali's footsteps echoed through the silent hallway.

The only sound… was her walking forward.

She carried Ashura carefully in her arms.

Her breathing stayed slow and steady.

"Don't worry, Ashura… I will save you…"

She whispered softly.

Ashura lay unconscious against her chest.

His breathing was weak… shaky.

His face was filled with tension.

Dried tears marked his cheeks.

His fingers slowly clutched her clothes.

His consciousness… barely holding on.

Sudden footsteps echoed loudly through the hallway.

Anjali's gaze snapped forward, turning sharp.

"Someone's coming…" she muttered under her breath.

Her eyes quickly scanned the surroundings.

She glanced at a nearby room.

Without hesitation, she rushed inside… leaving no trace.

"What do you think, Officer Arsh… will that boy wake up?"

Roger's voice echoed coldly through the hall.

"Don't know, Officer Roger…"

Arsh replied firmly, holding a juice can.

Inside the room, Anjali covered her mouth and nose.

Stopping even the slightest sound… even her breath.

"Don't speak… don't breathe…"

She whispered softly to herself.

Ashura lay on her lap, unmoving.

Still unconscious… not waking yet.

As the footsteps faded away, silence returned.

Anjali released her grip and gasped sharply.

"Hahhh… that was close…"

Her gaze stayed locked on the door.

"We should leave… but it's dangerous now…"

She whispered under her breath.

She lifted Ashura into her arms again.

Her expression hardened.

I should've brought someone…

They could've teleported us easily…

"It's my mistake…"

Guilt slipped into her voice.

She moved slowly into the hallway.

Step by step… reaching the main door.

"Let's go…"

She stepped outside.

ALARM.

"Attention! Ashura Rivaan has escaped!"

"Capture him before he gets too far!"

The announcement echoed loudly.

Anjali smirked coldly.

"You think you can catch him…?"

She walked into the forest without looking back.

Her steps steady… fearless.

Her gaze lingered toward the hospital one last time.

"Find him… if you dare."

The next day.

The media channels buzzed with loud noise.

"Ashura Rivaan escaped from the hospital last night."

"This looks staged… the police are helping him."

"We demand justice!"

The crowd whispered… then roared.

"The government supports criminals now?"

"Kill Ashura!"

"Find him!"

"That traitor shouldn't live!"

"Why are we waiting… just kill him!"

"Our police are useless!"

Anger spread like wildfire.

The crowd gathered outside the police station.

Shouting louder with each second.

Inside, officers stood in attention.

The air was tense… heavy.

"How careless are you?" an officer spoke coldly.

"Letting a traitor escape…"

"Whose mistake is this?"

His voice echoed sharply.

Roger lowered his head.

"…It was Officer Arsh's mistake."

All eyes turned toward Arsh.

Silence filled the room.

Arsh stood still… then slowly raised his gaze.

His glare burned through the tension.

Arsh glanced at the commander, then lowered his head.

"Sorry, sir… it was my mistake."

"No problem…" the chief spoke coldly.

"Just find him… and end him."

"I want a direct encounter with Ashura Rivaan."

"Set a bounty on him… immediately."

"It's my order."

The officer turned away, his breath cold.

Scene shifts.

Inside the house, the air felt heavy.

"He ran again…" Ruhi muttered coldly.

Her gaze stayed distant.

"…Yeah…" Avni replied softly.

She looked up… then lowered her head.

"We should support our brother…"

Nyra's voice broke as she clenched her fists.

"After all he did…"

Ruhi's tone remained cold.

"He deserves all of this."

"…Yeah…"

Rishabh stared at them silently.

His thoughts clashed inside him.

"He deserves punishment…" he said firmly.

"But we don't know the full story."

"We can't just blame him!"

He slammed his hand down.

Silence filled the room.

No one spoke.

"…Sorry…"

Rishabh turned and walked away.

Scene shifts.

Inside the laboratory.

"Make him drink this…" Anjali spoke calmly.

Her eyes stayed fixed.

Zara held the bottle. "…Okay, mom."

Her gaze lingered on Ashura.

She gently opened his mouth.

The liquid slowly poured inside.

Ashura's body reacted.

His wounds began to freshen again.

The liquid slowly poured into his mouth.

Filling it completely.

Zara's gaze stayed fixed on Ashura.

"Do you think it will work, mom…?"

"…Maybe…" Anjali replied calmly.

A hint of alertness hid in her voice.

"It only works on Luminarisis… maybe," Asha spoke coldly.

Her eyes didn't leave him.

Riven sighed softly.

"We'll have to wait… it won't act instantly."

"Still… it healed a bit," he added.

Silence followed.

Aaron smiled faintly.

"…Hmm."

Emilia nodded with certainty.

"Don't you dare hope he's dead," Ronan muttered.

"Aaron said he survived a blast…"

"A deadly one."

"…Right?"

All eyes turned toward him.

Aaron nodded slowly.

"Yeah… he survived it."

"Ashura is… something else."

The room felt heavier.

Zara pulled her hand back nervously.

"…Maybe…"

Ashura's heartbeat began to stabilize.

Slowly returning to normal.

Anjali placed her hand on his chest.

Her gaze deep… watching closely.

Anjali's heartbeat flickered slightly.

A small, uneven gasp escaped her lips.

Tick… tick… tick…

Time felt distorted.

"Ashura…"

A distant voice echoed.

Ashura stood in a dark realm.

Alone… staring into nothingness.

His eyes were cold.

Empty… yet burning inside.

"Fight…" he muttered softly.

"Fight… Fight…"

His breath echoed in the void.

Slow… heavy… restless.
