That Mortal on the Alert Star that day was indeed quite eerie, but there has to be a limit to how eerie someone can be, right?
Black Skull didn't believe the other party would insist on coming here, knowing full well that Abaddon was present!
The more Black Skull thought about it, the more relaxed he became. Meanwhile, Abaddon, seeing that time was almost up and estimating that Sith would soon catch up, stood up without hesitation, even though the supplies weren't fully loaded.
"Alright, I have things to attend to. I'll be leaving now."
Seeing Abaddon about to leave, Black Skull was reluctant but said nothing.
He was just a bit confused as to why he was in such a hurry that he didn't even take enough supplies.
Even looking at Abaddon, who was practically jogging ahead, Black Skull frowned further. For some reason, he felt like he saw something in Abaddon...
...the shadow of Blasphemous Horn.
Startled by this thought, Black Skull instinctively looked at the human lucky star he kept by his side.
And sure enough, Blasphemous Horn was staring blankly at Abaddon. Although there was no information yet, just by looking at Abaddon, Blasphemous Horn felt as if he saw himself back on the Alert Star.
Once Black Skull confirmed that Blasphemous Horn shared the same view, his expression instantly became strange.
By this time, Abaddon had already rushed out of the room, reached the top of the factory, and used Warp sorcery to teleport directly back to his orbital flagship.
Left behind, Black Skull stood there, watching Abaddon's fleet overhead. Even though they didn't have enough promethium, they were pushing their engines to the limit, desperately accelerating to leave.
"Why do I get the feeling the Warmaster is running for his life?"
Black Skull muttered to himself. As if in response to his question, just as Abaddon's fleet left orbit, another fleet suddenly burst out from a Warp surge on the other side.
Upon verifying that the other party's ships did not belong to their faction, alarms began to blare throughout the factory.
The few remaining Chaos Astartes subordinates rushed over, urging Black Skull to board his Destroyer and prepare for battle.
However, Black Skull didn't move immediately. Instead, he glanced at the unfamiliar fleet of barely a dozen ships, then at Abaddon, who was forcing a Warp jump like a startled rabbit, and his eyes gradually brightened.
"It's not'seems like'."
"Abaddon really is fucking running for his life!"
Confirming this conclusion, and despite the massive army of Mortal cultists pouring out below and the Daemon Engines taking flight—a formidable force indeed—Black Skull boarded a Transport without looking back and headed for his fleet in orbit.
Once inside the Transport, Black Skull immediately spoke:
"Patch me through to the enemy Commander's comms immediately. I want to see who exactly has arrived!"
Black Skull spoke hurriedly, while an ominous premonition grew stronger in his heart.
The pilot in the Transport immediately executed the order. Soon, a never-before-seen figure in gilded silver armor appeared in the projection.
Black Skull breathed a huge sigh of relief at the sight and was about to turn and order his troops to prepare for battle, but in the next second, after confirming that it was Black Skull standing on the other side, the figure took off his helmet.
Silence!
Black Skull's world fell into complete silence as Sith revealed his face.
An indifferent 'just as I thought' expression appeared on his face, followed by a 'brilliant' look as he decisively hit the disconnect button.
"Have the fleet ready. We jump the moment I arrive."
A subordinate asked, "Are we jumping into the enemy fleet?"
Black Skull's eyelid twitched. At the thought of his subordinate actually asking if they should jump right in front of Sith, he almost pulled out his Bolter.
"Jump back! As far away from these people as possible!"
The subordinates were even more confused. After exchanging glances, one Astartes hesitated:
"But the Warmaster..."
Hearing 'Warmaster', Black Skull seemed to finally find his breaking point. How could he not understand by now that this evil god named Sith had been brought here by Abaddon?
With a flushed face, Black Skull pointed to where Abaddon had just forcibly warped away and roared in fury:
"Warmaster?"
"Can't you fucking see the Warmaster is running even faster than I am?!"
