Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: Recruitment: Hashirama Senju

"This trip was quite fruitful."

Roy crossed the boundaries of time and space, re-entered the world of One Piece, and soon arrived at a deserted island.

In his hand, he tightly gripped two containers shimmering with strange light, inside which were the chakra of the Two-Tails and the Eight-Tails.

On the island stood a withered branch of an ancient Divine Tree; though its leaves had long since fallen, it still emitted a faint glow, as if waiting to be nourished by some kind of power.

Roy opened the containers holding the chakra, and two streams of energy of different colors leaped out like living things.

After swirling in the air for a moment, they surged into the withered Divine Tree branch.

As if sensing the influx of this power, the withered branch began to tremble slightly, its surface gradually glowing brighter as it greedily absorbed the energy.

With the continuous infusion of chakra, the branch's leaves slowly began to grow; the parts that had withered gradually regained vitality, radiating an even denser aura of life.

Roy quietly watched this scene, a gleam of satisfaction in his eyes.

After completing this step, Roy took out a stack of Divine Tree leaves from his robe. These leaves contained the unique power of the Divine Tree and had been carefully collected by him over some time.

"These are the finest materials."

A smile touched Roy's lips. The plan he had been plotting for so long could finally begin.

That's right. He was going to attempt to summon Hashirama Senju.

He then took a sealing scroll from his pocket—the very one he had seized from Orochimaru not long ago.

Sealed within the scroll were the reincarnated forms of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, and the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.

The power of these two Hokages was enough to shake the world, even in the world of One Piece.

Roy quickly formed hand seals. As the seal on the scroll was gradually undone, an ancient aura began to spread.

Meanwhile, in the world of Naruto, deep within the enigmatic Pure Land, a soul opened its eyes.

Within those eyes were clearly ripple-like patterns, and horns grew from its head.

"Some kind of power is summoning a soul away?"

"It's no longer in this world?"

He was somewhat puzzled and tried to investigate, but found that everything was obscured.

"There exists a power that can hide things from me?"

Naturally, Roy was unaware of what was happening there.

The ground trembled violently, and amidst the rising dust, a figure slowly emerged—the legendary God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju.

His eyes gradually lit up in the dimness, bearing the characteristic fragments of the Impure World Reincarnation, with a hint of confusion as he surveyed the unfamiliar surroundings and Roy standing before him.

"What place is this? Why… why am I here again?" Hashirama's voice was low.

Hashirama's gaze fell upon Roy, and suddenly, his brow furrowed slightly, as if sensing something unusual.

"You… you… why do you carry the aura of Wood Release?" His voice held a trace of astonishment and curiosity.

Hashirama was stunned for a moment, then suddenly burst into hearty laughter.

"Haha! The aura of Wood Release. It seems my bloodline continued into the future! What relation is little Tsuna to you?"

Hashirama's demeanor was that of a carefree optimist, making it difficult to connect him with the legendary God of Shinobi.

Seeing this, Roy spoke slowly, giving a general account of the world he was from and some key events.

Hashirama listened with keen interest, occasionally letting out cheerful laughs.

"So, I'm no longer among the living and was summoned here by the Impure World Reincarnation technique, huh? Honestly, I told Tobirama this technique was far too dangerous and should have been destroyed long ago."

Hashirama laughed heartily while shaking his head, seemingly resigned to the use of this technique.

"Different worlds… how truly wondrous. If Madara knew about this, he'd be absolutely thrilled."

Hashirama thought fondly of his old friend.

However, after a bout of laughter, Hashirama's expression suddenly turned serious.

His gaze was sharp as he looked directly at Roy, his voice carrying an undeniable authority: "So, powerful one from another world, what exactly is your purpose in summoning me here?"

Roy nodded. This was more like the God of Shinobi.

He took a bounty poster from his robe and gently placed it before Hashirama.

"This is… a bounty poster?" Hashirama picked it up curiously and examined it closely.

Strangely enough, despite being from two different worlds, the writing was astonishingly similar, as if some mysterious connection existed between them.

"Worst Criminal in History… hmm, that's quite a grandiose title. This person must be truly heinous."

Hashirama stroked his chin, a hint of amusement in his eyes. But when he saw the name on the bounty poster, his smile suddenly froze—"Hashirama Senju?"

His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the poster. Looking closer, the wanted portrait looked exactly like him!

"How could I, a dead man, be the worst criminal?"

Hashirama's mouth hung open in shock, as if witnessing the most unbelievable thing in the world.

Roy then explained the whole story from beginning to end.

"Hmm, if those Celestial Dragons are really like that, then hitting them wasn't a problem."

Hashirama nodded, then suddenly looked seriously at Roy.

"But, powerful one from another world, I am already a dead man. Whatever your purpose, I shouldn't interfere in these matters."

Hashirama spoke slowly. Just moments ago, Roy had revealed his plan: for Hashirama, in his reincarnated form, to truly walk the seas and help Roy at critical moments.

Now, Hashirama was refusing. In a sense, he was someone who took life and death lightly.

But faced with Hashirama's refusal, Roy smiled confidently.

"Your old friend, Madara Uchiha, is planning to destroy the ninja world."

Hashirama was incredulous, and though he didn't fully grasp the meaning of "old friend," his mind was completely captivated by Roy's words.

To recruit the powerful Hashirama as an ally, Roy revealed quite a bit about Madara Uchiha's plans. Of course, he did not mention things concerning Black Zetsu or the Sage of Six Paths.

He placed all those actions squarely on Madara Uchiha's shoulders.

"What a genius, Madara. And he even awakened the Rinnegan."

Hashirama laughed heartily. He actually seemed pleased that Madara had survived to the end.

But then, his expression grew serious.

"However, Madara, your thinking is wrong. I must stop him."

In Hashirama's view, his old friend Madara Uchiha had gone astray, and he had to be the one to knock some sense into him.
