Chapter 2 - Tianzun's past (2) The Aftermath

The family gathered, their voices sharp and accusing. They questioned the maid, demanding to know why the boy had been left alone in the room.

"I told him to sit where I left him and wait for me," she whispered through tears. "He said he was hungry, so I went to get something for him to eat and drink. But when I returned, he was gone. I searched, and I found him inside the funeral room, curious..."

Her voice cracked, overwhelmed by grief for her former master.

The family shouted at her, blaming her for failing to care for the child properly. She apologized, though inside she knew the truth. Tianzun was not one to wander off unless someone had lied to him—someone had told him his parents were calling him.

She explained that even if told his parents were nearby, Tianzun would not move without her permission. She had placed him under CCTV surveillance to prevent this, but someone had deceived him and forced him out of her care.

Sweat dripped down the backs of the guilty, panic flickering in their eyes.

Suddenly, police stormed the hall, placing the maid under arrest. The crowd gasped, shocked by the spectacle.

The leader—known as the eldest brother—stepped forward to oversee the matter, but beneath the surface, bribes were exchanged, evidence was wiped clean, and the maid's charges were dismissed as false.

Chaos had begun to spread like wildfire as things escalated.

The instigator was clear: it was a woman named Jin Rouyan, the aunt. A woman in her late twenties, strikingly beautiful but with a heart black as night. Dark brown hair framed her face, her eyes cold and merciless. Though slight in build, the maid's beauty surpassed hers in natural grace, fueling jealousy and spite.

Rumors whispered that Jin Rouyan's bitterness stemmed from feeling overshadowed, a sister consumed by envy. All hated the maid's flawless face, bare of makeup, and the power it held over the men who attended the funeral.

The men sighed, shaking their heads. "Are they here for a burial or a beauty contest?"

They didn't understand the petty battles, but they knew one thing—beauty awakened primal desires.

It was tragic that such beauty was trapped in a small boy's possession, and cruel enough that some women would use everything in their power to imprison her right after she made a little mistake not rightfully hers but wrongly accused of, bribing officials to ensure her long stay behind bars.

The man called the eldest brother asked now you have the maid away "Who will take responsibility for the boy?"

And the crowd instantly turned silent especially the women who will want to take care of a snot-nosed brat they haven't finished taking care of theirs talk less of another but as they were contemplating jin rouyan volunteered immediately. Relief swept through the others—they wanted no part of caring for a child, especially one so young and troublesome. Their own burdens were already heavy enough.

The eldest brother shook his head in disbelief they let the maid go, now unwilling to take on the responsibility.

His gaze darkened with anger as he muttered, "Foolish women..."

He was angry because they just ruined a potential love interest for himself

As He thought of the maid—the perfect beauty, the curves and features untouched by motherhood. His mind raced with lust and desire, plotting how to free her and use her favor to his advantage.

His breath grew heavy, his eyes darkening with raw, unrestrained hunger.

He was a man who took what he wanted without shame or hesitation as he has the capacity to do so.

So he thought to himself he would get her out of prison he was full of determination
