Rim Young quietly entered the house, changing into his indoor slippers before stepping farther inside. At night, his older sister was either sleeping in her room or away, so he had assumed no one was home. He made his way into the kitchen to get himself a glass of water, feeling drained.
"Oh! You're here. I thought you were joking about coming home."
Seeing him, Rim Junhee exclaimed almost excitedly. Rim Young turned toward her and greeted her with a faint smile.
"It's nice to see you too, Nuna."
His eyes drifted toward the dining table, where she was sitting with a cup of ramen for dinner.
"What have you been up to today?"
"Don't eat that. I will cook something for you."
He tried to take the cup ramen away from her, his hands still shaking slightly, but Rim Junhee gripped it with even more strength and pulled it closer to herself.
"I already had dinner. This is my late-night snack!"
"Did you just come home?"
